Sarah Jane Smith
Not sure if this is the right place for this, but Elisabeth Sladen passed away yesterday. She had been fighting cancer. The best companion of all. Will be missed by all the fans.

Along with Madeline Smith, Elizabeth was one of my first crushes. I always hoped she would return to Dr. Who, as I felt her parting scene all those years ago left her character open. I was right.
Well I guess she will be with Jon Pertwee, and the other doctors who have passed on. God Rest Her Lovely and Beautiful Soul And my heart felt sympathies to her husband of so many many years. It can be all to easy to forget the loved ones. Elizabeth R.I.P Tim |

I heard the news with great sorrow, and I'll regret her. Goodbye Sarah Jane and be forever with our lost Doctors and the Brigadier !

Shocked to hear the news - taken from us far, far too young.

Elisabeth was the Doctors assistant when I first tuned in as a kid. She was by far the most likeable companion unlike some of the more recent one's who have a heck of a lot to live up to. I shed a few tears yesterday I am not ashamed to admit it. Bless you Elisabeth. You will be very sorely missed. I have Planet of the Spiders waiting to be watched and just can't bring myself to put it on yet.
