Found one similar image with some text in the margin (not of much help)

The text is "Nitelog Imaging (408) 655-1096" . . . etc. Looks like the name and phone number of the photo-lab where the copy was made.

I think that Nitelog number will be the old dial-up bulletin board the pic was hosted on.
I've searched for it, but there's nothing showing that I can find.

+ found a history of Nitelog BBS, which would put the pic at early 90s, in case we hadn't worked that out by the haircuts.
I'll see if I can find anything on Wayback.

That's a bummer, Wayback only goes back to 1996 for Nitelog, and the few sample images are all newer than our mystery pic.
