What newspaper do you read?

They're the three I watch, whenever I'm logged on the forum I either have a News or Documentary channel going... They keep me more sane than the forum

I was just watching CNN about the Boston Bombing

I'm just wondering which news service or programs are most favored among our members

Apart from it's sometimes hilarious hypocrisy of being "Fair and Balanced" I don't mind Fox News, I found when they're good they're good, but on the other side when they're bad they're real bad..... Though theu do have the best looking presenters, as far as females go. As much as Bill O'Reilly goes, he's one of those I'd shake his hand

and belt him in the face

at the same time.

BBC World is a good all rounder, very prim and proper British in everything.

But for my choice, CNN

They're just good at everything, I know some people can't stand him , but I do like Richard Quest, He looks like he actually knows exactly what he's talking about and enjoys his shows

Aussie news services, Good for nothing except sport

BBC News is My major source for Information about the World beyond VEF,I usually watch it for 30 mins or so in the morning as I catch up with the overnight shenanigans on here...

I usually watch the BBC.
If you filter out the left-wing bias, it's fit for purpose.
At 1:30 a.m. they show a news program from USA's ABC network which looks intereresting and gives a more detailed US-centred view of the current headlines.

BBC and Sky and switching between the two and Fox News when I want a fair and balanced-ish laugh

I always watch BBC news for 30 mins or so before I go to work

BBC all the way but if abroad then CNN is the only one you can get on the television. I used to love the way everything was a 'situation' to Wolf Blitzkrieg (Blitzer) as he took everything so seriously and Paula Zahn wasn't bad along with Bobbie Batista but she had very odd eyes!

I usually use CNN, BBC, and France 24. CNN is good for national news stories but suffers when covering international. I do have CNN International available but they don't give me the coverage that I like. For international news BBC and France 24 satisfy most of my needs.

I will sometimes watch Fox, depending upon who is on the air. For news about the Middle East (excepting Israel) then Al Jazeera does a pretty good job.

Of course, living in DC means that all of the local news channels also will cover quite a bit of national and international news.

For me also BBC world / News is the one to watch.

Sometimes with breaking news i switch/ zap between stations to see differences in the news covering, and that would be ITN-news , CNN also and Sky news and even Al Jazeera.

Nowadays I follow also news here at VEF because of the interesting points of view from vef-members.

Yes despite the left wing bias its dear old auntie for me. It confuses me in Canada watching BBC world as it has adverts.

BBC World which is far better than the normal BBC in the UK and Al Jazeera which is impressively fair.

I also watch C4 News at 1900 but just so I can shout at Snow and Miss Lemon.
