Google image search getting more and more useless? - Page 4

Yandex seems to be great! But just like with Google and Bing - watch out for what it decides you were searching for in the thumbnails - sometimes it's way way off (and toxic).

I definitely don't have the technical expertise to know how a site like Yandex works--or how much of anything works, for that matter--but one thing that has pleasantly surprised me is that its pool of results seems to be constantly growing. I've had a couple experiences where I've searched with the same image a few days apart and found new, relevant results on the second try.

A couple of other useless observations: there have been a number of times when I've searched with an image of a model, and within the results are several other models that I'm also into, even though I never made a conscious connection that they bore any resemblance to each other.

And I can't tell you how often I have this experience: "Hey, I don't think I have that pic...oh, wait, yes I do...oh wait, I'm the one who put that online!"

Oh, and for all our talk of Google image search's uselessness, I guess I should give it credit when credit is due. This was my result for an image of Tammi Ann with a dildo in each of her passageways:

Can't argue with that.

Yandex does automatic facial recognition of the models face and - along with displaying other similar photos of your submitted model - will find additional models who have similar facial characteristics and return that in the result set.

Yandex is a useful tool to show what was

Issue now seems to be old galleries when sites close are being left up and used as lures
They redirect to the main page of mega sites , live webcams or blogs full of random shite.

The give away is when you hover over a link (usually top right) - you'll see an address bottom right in chrome - if you see something like - jsredir in the address - a java script redirect.
Feels very much like playing the tgp (thumbnail gallery post game) game

Sometimes these links are still available in google with no redirect

I just had one pic with a model on the image page
- i right clicked on the image - opened in new tab
changed the numbers of the address from 1-15 and the images were all alive

The direct link led to the main page with the gallery nowhere in site

A wave of DMCA notices sent from a company without an obvious web presence have targeted, among other things, the homepages of dozens of adult-focused sites. Google appears to have responded by delisting the main pages of several affected platforms.

Google image search has become next to useless. For a brief moment Bing was decent but now they are completely useless. Safe mode might be stuck on permanent with them. Yandex is where it's at apparently. I have found so many models/scenes with Yandex, sometimes with just a side boob or even bedspread!

Tineye is still decent for images that are fairly common and floating around the 'net for a while. The more obscure they are though, the less powerful it seems to be. Sometimes the tineye results links can be stale but if you incorporate the result set with the web archive you can still dig out some images. But yes, your general observations are spot on. Bing was much better even a few years ago and Yandex is the top dog now.
