"John Holmes (Porn) Superstar" was the german aka release name

of "The Senator's Daughter" from 1978

Found two other listings, so a bit confused now
1st: Superstar John Holmes (1979) imdb.com
2nd: John Holmes Superstar (1980) iafd.com

So I guess it's not "The Senator's Daugher" but instead the one listed on iafd.com which also has Paul Thomas listed in actors.

Wikipedia is mostly correct: John Curtis Estes was born in rural Ohio in 1944, son of a railroad worker and a woman named Mary. Had perfect attendance at his Baptist church but left the troubled family at 16 to serve in the US Army. Married a nurse named Sharon Gebenini, then met porn producers Bill Amerson and Bob Chinn, who made the first Johnny Wadd film for $750. Holmes' fee quickly went to $3,000 a day, most of which went to his coke habit.

Eddie Nash was a dealer-friend who was robbed of about a million dollars of cash, jewelry and drugs in June 1981. Two days later, in apparent retaliation, three people were brutally murdered and one woman seriously wounded in a house on Wonderland Avenue in LA. Holmes' palm print was found on a bed rail. A year later he was tried and acquitted of the murder charges but spent 111 days in jail for burglary and contempt of court. (Nash was also tried and acquitted of the murders in 1990.)

Diagnosed with HIV c.1985 and died three years later. Porn King, his autobiography by his widow Misty Dawn aka Laurie Rose-Holmes, is now available on Amazon.
