Having earlier "subscribed" to this thread, I'm now informed that user DTravel's is the most recent post here (this post), yet following that link it doesn't (yet) show in this thread--i.e. basically the same behaviour reported earlier by retroanalyst. Hmm, but changing that url (php interface/command/endpoint) to a showpost rather than showthread one, one can view it, here.

Perhaps my posting this post may trigger DTravel's to appear in the thread, again like retro noted.

Edit: nope, it didn't.

Yep, I got the 'duplicate' post only yesterday, and it seems I don't have the privileges to visit a thread I left one second before .
That's when I ended up here.

We've noticed a lot of problems over the last few days, bad gateway, duplicate posts/Pm's, "missing" posts that don't show up even though the forum says they are there and some small mod functions.

Apparently the tech people are working on it.

I noticed the outage of @ 4 hours late on the 18th. Yesterday, I got the duplicate post message several times. One time that I got it, the post did NOT appear in the thread. 10 minutes later, after refreshing the thread several times there was still no sign of it and I tried again. New post was made and first one FINALLY appeared, resulting in a double post.

I was just looking at Amantpoches list of posts. Clicked on one to see it but no sign of it in the thread.

In both these cases, the posts would have been the first one on a new page

Edit: Just noticed the same thing with a post by Jeff Vader. There definitely seems to be a problem if the post will be the first one on a new page

I must say, this business of 'first post on a new page' not appearing is getting quite annoying.

It's happened to me 3 times today. It will appear in my post list but not on the thread. Seems to require a SECOND post being made before the first will appear.

Thanks! I didn't realize that.
I posted, indeed on a new page, a reaction that did not appear, tried to send it again, got a message that it was a duplicate, changed some of the wording, and found both posts on the page.
But I failed to see the connection.

I also have had the "temporarily lost post" issue many times in the past few days. Another thing that has happened about 10 times or so recently - when I hit the thanks button I get flipped on to a junk site selling whatever in a new tab???

obviously rotobott's exp not unique. browser [eastern usa] cannot access site, eventually says "bad gateway". lasted at least 1 hr.. also happened Sat. AM as I recall.
