Did you know that China is Top Dog now for sheep population?

2008 Sheep numbers (million)

China 136.4

Australia 79.0

India 65.0

Iran 53.8

Sudan 51.1

New Zealand 34.1

Nigeria 33.9

United Kingdom 33.1
(FAO)

For 2009-10 the Aust number was even lower, down to 68 million, the lowest number since 1905.

I only found this out the other day and it's most annoying. Back in the 60's and 70's there were over 160 million sheep in Australia. We want our title back.

Good old sheep.

Default Black Mountain

Would you go in here ?

Black Mountain

Quote:
Located in Queensland, Australia, 26 kilometers to the south of Cooktown lies they mysterious Black Trevethan Range, the Black Mountain. Consisting of granite jumbles of black rocks this mountain is inhabited by frogs, wallabies, gigantic pythons and a strange beast that goes by the name of the Queensland Tiger. Many walk into this collection of large black rocks, but very few ever walk out.

Sounds like my kind of place

Been through the area a few time. Very eire feeling felt if you stop and look around. The local aboriginal fellas wont even stop their cars on the highway and never ever step foot on the mountain. Local boys says bad spirits live up there.

Another place that gives the shivers is hanging rock in Victoria Australia. A famous drama movie was made about a group of schoolgirls who went missing on the hill.
