I must always remember if I am talking about something "Public" to not leave out the "l" in the word.

Doing so produces a somewhat result.

Also, why is "dyslexia" so hard to spell? That's just taking the piss.

Spelled fenetikly, 'phonetic' is spelled incorrectly.

onomatopoeia

Why doesn't it sound like what it means?

Perhaps we could also change the spellings of some words to show thay are different from other words:

1) Row, Row.

2) Rowing, Rowing.

3) Lead, Lead.

Yes, and don't forget the "o" in county.

That's funny, phonetic spelling was common in the US until various campaigns for standardized spelling and public education helped stop the confusion. But that was well into the 1800's (http://teachinghistory.org/history-c...istorian/25489).

There were some who advocated for simplified spelling, such as those who published this in 1880:

There's a site for all kinds of crazy spellings, but not confused ones, at http://jeff560.tripod.com/words.html .

Whenever I make a post and I am not sure of the spelling of a word, I shrink the page and then go into Google Chrome and put in my word and Chrome gives me the correct spelling, then I close Chrome and expand VEF and put in my post. Sometimes when I am excited about my post I tend to type too fast and misspell a word or two, but I always read my post, and click on the preview button, and if necessary edit what I put in!

Many longer words starting with "prefer": Is it "preferred" with 2 "r"s? But "preferably"? "Preferences" (I think).
