If they didnt they wouldnt keep posting
If they dont get sales then the host usually denies them payment at some stage and blocks their access to their account or closes it outright. You can find the best examples on wjunction which has threads for most of the hosts paying cash Their full of folks saying - been paid - still waiting for payment Occasionally someone will post an image of their stats showing sales & payments to prove some point Bottom line seems to be if your posting good quality rare content then your more likely to have free users buying premium membership through your links because the lure is too strong to resist. If your posting stuff that everyone is posting the exact opposite will occur |

I have to say we do allow these cash paying hosts here because our members would otherwise not have much of the video content. A payday is the only incentive for some of these guys to post. I don't like it, myself since the free download speeds are so slow. Most of us regular guys are here to share what we have and use hassle-free faster hosts.

Whats the meaning of posting quality content? Meaning rare or hq? I think mega 1fichier and depositfiles arent cash maker hosts but it seems they are using them also.. Last edited by bkemadu; March 20th, 2017 at 02:37 PM.. |

Many who post to share actually spend money to find movies to rip and magazines to scan. Quality content can be rare, something new that was never posted before, or HQ. The posters who actually want to share do not use cash hosts for the most part. They use 1fichier, Mega, Imagebam , Imgbox and other hosts that do not have cash options. FYI, Depositfiles is still a cash host.

But........not always the case. Too often it is automatically assumed, that those that use file hosts, that do offer a payment system, are taken as "cash ho's", "bread posters", etc etc. Sometimes........the file host is nothing more than the best available file host for various reasons, those running the gambit of, files lasting longer before being deleted, less investigations by authorities if any at all, and ease of use, with another viable reason being having been in business longer than any other file host. The simple fact of the matter is, that these file host companies are businesses. The service they supply costs them money to supply that service. With no influx of money, they.......or any other file host......would no longer be in business, and this forum, other than picture forums would be shut down. I myself began with the file host Rapidshare, and was called a "cash ho", "bread poster", amongst the nicer of the name calling. When Rapidshare was taken to court, and their services began to suffer, I changed to another file host, that at the time seemed to suit my purposes very well. They had been in business a while, and their file retention seemed excellent. Unfortunately, that file host too came under investigation, and was taken down completely. I then made my third file host change, to Filefactory, which was about the only host left other than Megaupload, which I could not stand. So......a very simple choice for me and over the years, it's proven to be a wise choice, as the file retention rate has been incredible. Megaupload? Well we all know what happened to them. It's funny now that I think about it, but if not for the very file host that caused enough uproar amongst VEF members AND moderators, to actually try to force me to use another file host in the beginning........very few if any file host links posted at VEF would have still been alive after RS and MU bit the dust. So........although a very high percentage of those who have posted things here at VEF are looking to "make a living" with their endeavors.........there are a great deal many more that do not. |

1. Nobody singled you out specifically as as a cash poster. 2. Many cash posters are now using Filefactory in addition to another cash host. 3. Someone I know had their premium account with Filefactory canceled and had all their files deleted. 4. Your file retention is not that great lately as there have been numerous reports of dead links in your posts. 5. The download speed for Filefactory and the likelihood of getting that download to finish for free users has been worse than Keep2share which is among the worst when it comes to cash hosts. Please stop praising Filefactory as the be all to end all of when it comes to file hosts because it is not. Thank you.

Ah. How "wonderful" to see these eternal discussions about hosters and motives surface once again. Speaking for myself I always keep in mind that I get something for free and with jdownloader it's only a matter of time and patience.
As a former mod in the classic section I'm in no doubt over bob's generous contribution to the forum. And you don't get that many thanks being a "breadposter". Hosters come and go and change for better or worse. Not everyone likes 1fichier either but I will still use it because it suits my needs. |

Oh the eternal argument.
Firstly can I thank bigbobnobody and Jenny for their contributions, and Jenny again for what I feel is fair and unbiased moderating. Surely it is a matter of choice. Contributing posters have the right to use whatever host they choose, and downloader the right not to download from that host. I for one would like to get a couple of dozen files off here, and other sites (more of that later) but get so frustrated by the speed (or lack of it) the amount of pop ups and attempted pop ups, and perhaps most frustrating of all, getting most of the file and then the download fails. (As mentioned by Jenny) It is clearly in the interests of those seeking money, to make a free download difficult, but I thank them anyway as this might be the only way to get a particular file. I hope that if someone has the patience to get the file, they will also share it again on a more friendly host. I group hosts in three ways. Laughable, bearable and preferable. We all know which ones fit into each group, but for clarity on this particular thread Filefactory is in the middle group. I do have a question, however. Some hosts are easier to use on here than on other sites. ff rg and df on some other sites are slower than on here. Is this something a user, or site can set, or is it simply down to the host? Does anybody have any idea? On another site I use one host splits all files into a maximum chunk size of 100mb, and you need to wait 45-50 minutes between downloads, but they never fail. I find this acceptable and bearable. In summary, all contributions are welcome, but those on friendly hosts are especially welcome.

Speed and access comes down to the individual server any file is on
You can have 2 files from the 2 hosts - 1 you cant access the other downloads straight away The biggest issue with rewards hosts versus that dont is how many of its members excessively link dump The more links about = higher potential for server stress and aborted downloads or inaccessible files occur. While i havent experienced many failed downloads - files not being accessible countdowns/captchas going around in a loop to keep us free users off their servers does occur occasionally - rapidgator & filefactory a few times of late Excessive usage - up or down since 2012- has always had a negative effect |
