the real reason bill oddie got the sack from the bbc was because he was caught short for a number two in the early hours and forgot the badger set cameras were on .

an image etched permanently onto the minds of the few dozen unfortuneate spring watch viewers up at that time in the morning to see it .

No idea I've only ever seen ONE episode of The Simpsons-the one where Homer goes over the cliff on the skateboard and then when he is in the ambulance it crashes into a tree, the doors open and he rolls back down again.

I remember the Beechams medicine company got into trouble when they created an advert years ago about a family called the Symptoms and were almost sued by the Simpsons people.

Fox News once threatened to sue Fox Entertainment, because of an episode of The Simpsons?

The episode in question featured Krusty running for the US Senate, with a dead-on parody of Fox News. A ticker ran headlines such as "voting democract causes cancer", "Brad Pitt + Einstein = Dick Chaney", and "JFK posthumously joins Republican Party".

Fox News were concerned viewers might mistake them for "real" headlines.

Did you know Matt Groening, the creator of the Simpsons, has a cousin living in Calgary, Alberta and that is why they have set a couple of episodes there and mentioned the city several times. I used to work with his cousin and he said Matt always had a unique sense of humour. Because of him I knew, before it became common knowledge, that the names of the Simpsons characters are from their family and from TV shows they watched as kids.

The gas mining technique known as Fracking is nothing new, in fact in 1967 at New Mexico they tried 'Nuclear Fracking'

I wonder which brave writer for television, cinema or books will pick up on fracking and use it as a swearword-you can just imagine it "what the fracking hell are you doing?" Give it time I reckon it will enter the language-hell of a lot better than twerking!
