This incident is now receiving a ridiculous amount of very tedious coverage (like Brexit), especially on BBC News, although in disaster terms, it doesn't really compare with events like the Zeebrugge ferry sinking, Piper Alpha fire or Hillsborough, which had nothing like the same degree of publicity. The only difference I can see, is that the building was full of immigrants. So I assume that HMG feels the need to make a major production of what happened for race relations reasons?
Oh please! You cannot compare events that happened in the 80's, when all we had were newspapers and TV news, to events happening now in this world of 24 hour media and social media coverage. News outlets HAVE to fill their coverage 24/7 or they get gazumped by others and lose revenue - so of course we see more coverage now than we did then.

Next you'll be complaining that the Crusades never got the same coverage on the BBC as did the Royal Wedding ...

Why can't comparisons be drawn? I'm taking about the nightly considerable coverage of Grenfell on BBC TV news and ITV. What goes online is not especially important in this particular instance and BBC News certainly doesn't have to worry about losing revenue. The simple point I'm making, is that this endless and actually pretty meaningless reporting has reached overkill. It's intrusive, serves virtually no purpose and there are other important stories that are being squeezed, or cut out. To compare the Crusades with a Royal Wedding is just ridiculous. As you might have overlooked, the BBC did not have any TV coverage of the Crusades while it was underway - to the best of my knowledge :-)

Ive noticed that is over two weeks now and still no new keyboard although the.chap gettingit for me has a lot of medical problems so all I can do is leave an answerphone message and hope he is okay, then all I have to do is take the old one over and swap it for the new one.

Also noticed that even though it is cloudy and a slight breeze the attic is warm yet only meant to be 68f today- perhaps humidity is the answer.

I've noticed this week literally hundreds maybe thousands of keyboards available on Amazon.
You would think they could deliver to London

Please PM me re any dead images although it is likely if it is outside Celebs I may no longer have the content

Of course comparing the Crusades to the Royal Wedding was ridiculous - it's pure hyperbole on my part. But it's just as ridiculous to compare todays wired and wireless 24/7 media world to that of the 80's.

I believe the BBC actually does have ad revenue if viewed outside of the UK, although I'm happy to be corrected on that point.
