The simple answer to anyone who may have issues is just post to several hosters or one all round nice host! that simple.

Nice to see some great guys and girls switching and I am sure soon they will get the ultimate honor from vef for that switch as they have been members for many years and could be expert members of our community.

And I think we could make inroads to other areas of the forum too!

I will be honest, I hoped they would last and they have...I hope they have learned from rapidshare, and if they have and took on board their main players, we will be solid for many years.

It's a nice thought Blue126, but in my opinion, it's not that simple. Not in the long run anyway. Hosters come and go and what's nice today might be crap tomorrow. And even commonly agreed upon good hosts are not good hosts for everyone.

An uploader perspective is also somewhat different than a downloader perspective. Cash posters aside one has to ask oneself: What is the cost of membership, how much storage do you get, and what is the likelihood of your files getting deleted?

As a proud lifetime member of Megaupload I can only hope and pray 1fichier doesn't go belly up anytime soon, even though their prices make me think of the Sopranos. 1ficher as a shell company.

So basically........most everyone is saying that people that use "cash hosters",
are doing it to make "cash".........which is about as far from the truth as one
can be. What intrigues me more than anything, was whether or not VEF was
created only for people that were too broke to ever buy any porn themselves.

We do. The people who use them do as well as the members here who try to download from them.

You also have no idea how many times I have been contacted by the people who run cash hosts asking me to allow them here. They get turned down because we do not wish to be affiliated with any file hosts at this forum. They care a lot more than you are aware of.

There are certain Forums, that I've been directed to recently

- which are good, no mistake, regarding their Database.

BUT... always a BUT

..... ALL their Uploaders use only

ONE
Host.

And like FFactory, it takes a few days ~ not Hours ~ not Minutes
.. but Days!...thus pushing Newbies etc to PAY for a faster Premium service.

Crude Recruitment ~ imo.

VEF has a tolerant Policy I feel, and one that will not succumb to the bleaters ...AS LONG AS THEY follow VEF's policy.

NOT-POST-To-PROFIT

1Filchier does not do that, though it has Safeguards that confound some of us.
