Adele appeals to many from young to older and she does write some heartfelt songs - Skyfall took a bit of getting used to but when viewed with the opening titles of the film(also called Skyfall) it does make sense. I do agree that sometimes she writes songs that seem to lament growing up so fast, but it happens to us all. I watched a programme about the story of The Jam(80s mod band) and it brought back a lot of memories of the songs BUT it also made me feel really old. I am sure that people who listen to those and Adele's songs in future will look back and think life was better - whimsical perhaps but maybe at times our memories play tricks on us and things weren't that good.

Bumper payday for lawyers this week with the supposed misinterpretation of the joint enterprise law .
Get round those jails and get Gary Newloves killers to all appeal their murder sentences . Lots of lovely legal aid . And to hell with how distatsteful it must be to his family . Lawyers changing laws to keep themselves busy . I just wonder how they sleep at night . Counting money instead of sheep i suppose . |

I must be honest and say that I've found it very hard to find out exactly what's in this deal David Cameron is putting to the EU. As far as I can see, it appears to focus on looking after UK bankers and big business. There is also the issue of child support which seems to have slipped into an unworkable mess.
What I don't recall, is Cameron putting clear details of his plan to keep us in the EU to the British public. At the moment, it does rather look like he's made a balls-up of the whole thing and I remain hopeful that the general public won't be taken in by all the scare stories that are about to be unleashed warning of our inability to keep doing business, a huge rise in the cost of living, an inability to stop immigration or the UK's complete decline as a nation with influence over others. |

As Theo Paphitis said last night on Question Time, we need FACTS not pantomime-in other words what do we stand to gain from this deal and does it affect business or other areas of British life. I can't see Cameron getting the deal he wants; he'll get A deal, just not THE deal he needs. We will have a referendum but in June? Maybe later or next year. One thing is for sure he will need the backing of the Government and other parties and I cannot see that being universally accepted-yet!
We do get votes this year on a new London Mayor and local elections so a chance to boot out Boris the Buffoon and get someone who will actually do something for London and not look like an unkempt blustering scarecrow...sorry Boris where did you put those 3 useless water cannon again? Oh yes behind hoardings for a training college somewhere in the South East-tsk tsk, found you out matey! As to songs I would rather listen to Adele being whimsical about her younger days than have to put up with The Smiths' Morrissey who I am sure helped people to slash their wrists with his weight-of-the-world-on-your-shoulders, throw yourself in front of a bus, or take a leap off a cliff-style tunes-heaven knows we're all miserable now!

ie. stopping money from the being given to the poorer end of society while allowing the richer end to screw money out of the poorer end or make money in the same ways they did before the banking crisis.

I'm a Euro Sceptic by nature but I have a healthy distrust of all politicians. I'd like to see more arguments from the pro EU side. A year ago I was 100% anti EU but now I could vote either way, will UK voter apathy on the in/out vote be as big an issue as it is in normal EU elections?
