That's a good idea, though that may open up a legal can of worms in the whole custody/chain of evidence thing. Then again, seeing as the perp is dead, and the American authorities never shied away from illegal wire taps and the likes before, I don't see why the FBI shouldn't be satisfied with something along those lines to help uncover the perps cohorts, etc.

From what I understand, it is very difficult to break 512 bit encryption, and currently impossible to break something like 2048 but encryption. So, if the FBI can't do it, most likely Apple cannot either. The FBI's attempt to coerce Apple is, in my opinion, just another state power-grab.

DTravel,

We even had her national representative (Tammy Baldwin, who is now a Senator) involved and she could do nothing. Baldwin even dropped out when my girlfriend had to declare bankruptcy. It seemed to us that Baldwin was only there to help lead my girlfriend over the cliff and try and make sure the landing wasn't too bad. What a thing to say. Quote:

Lastly, I can't say for absolutely positive (as we agreed I had to back off or we would have no chance of survival) but I'm positive she didn't start out with an ARM and she wouldn't knowingly have signed an ARM. So how did she, apparently, wind up in one? We think her attorney is still trying to figure that out (but we do know he is really frustrated). Quote:

Right now, I guess we're just hoping to get out of bankruptcy and probably sell the house (maybe). At least she's in an area where property values have rebounded so, if she can sell, she might be able to make a few (not a lot) dollars. But we also expect BoA to come after her again for no reason (they did it once). Its a mess. Complete mess. If this had happened to an Indian it would not have surprised me (we deal with crap like this all the time) but to do this to a middle aged white woman who's never hurt a flea? Thats a bit surprising. So thats why I really hate BoA. And why I have no tolerance for the big banks and support Bernie in his efforts to take these people down. They need to be split up into very small pieces. |

"This is how the FBI wants Apple to backdoor the iPhone"
http://www.zdnet.com/article/this-is...or-the-iphone/ So, the FBI wants Apple to make for them a custom OS, which gives them access to proprietary software, and also the power to hack all Iphone 5c's. LOL. The FBI is on glue. It's one thing to get a search warrant, it's another thing altogether to try to force a company to engage in a software engineering project via court order. The FBI has truly jumped the shark.

Apple has spent years developing the iPhone to make as sure as possible that these phones are secure. So that when you use your credit card on the web there will be no problem. But what the government is asking is for the ability to hack just the original pass code which could get you onto the phone. Once on the phone they probably won't be able to get any further as there are now programs which will encrypt all messaging further and can actually be told to destroy themselves if someone tries to hack into the messages. The real problem is that Apple would have to reverse engineer the encryption process so that for it to work on the one phone, it would work on all iPhones. Meaning that, although the FBI may not do anything with anyone else's info, other hackers could figure out the Apple hack and apply it to all iPhones. Meaning that security on the iPhone would now be a joke. Nobody's data would now be safe. I think Tim cook said it best: "The government is asking Apple to hack our own users and undermine decades of security advancements that protect our customers," Cook said. "The same engineers who built strong encryption into the iPhone to protect our users would, ironically, be ordered to weaken those protections and make our users less safe." http://money.cnn.com/2016/02/17/tech...e-hack-iphone/ So if you own an iPhone you really want Apple to win this. |

Yeah, you'll get over it love, try eating less cake. I guess there's a lot of overweight women out there who relate to it I'm not Noel Gallagher's biggest fan but I agree with him when he said "If someone wants to know what I think of Adele, I’ll fucking tell them… I just don’t see what all the fuss is about. I don’t like her music. I think it’s music for fucking grannies.” Gallagher added that he considers Adele to be part of a "sea of cheese" ruining modern music. "Music has nosedived into fucking blandness," he said. "A sea of cheese." Last edited by vinceprince; February 18th, 2016 at 05:01 PM.. |
