I would assume she'd have to, at least the citizenship part.

The church stuff - probably moot, she's a Hollywood girl and none of that religious business is going to stick to her anyway, good.

She'll realize a dream that lots of girls dream, but very few achieve, becoming an actual princess.

Or whatever title she gets. What will that be? All of that dukes and duchesses, lords and earls and knights business is just confusing to me.

Over here we just have presidents and senators and representatives, and those only grudgingly.

I just hope none of those UK nationalist nutters try to knock Meghan off because she has black blood.

The worst is these nationalists have black blood too, but are too stupid to agree with that.
I just have to find the reference, but according to the American congress of anthropology (in 2015 if I remember well), they have found that genetically speaking, all our "white" European ancesters were...... dark skinned about.... 8000 years ago.
Yep. 8000 years ago only.
In the human history, that means, yesterday.

In a 2015 study based on 230 ancient DNA samples, researchers traced the origins of several genetic adaptations found in Europe. The original mesolithic hunter-gatherers were dark skinned and blue eyed. The HERC2 and OCA2 variations for blue eyes are derived from the original mesolithic hunter-gatherers, and the genes were also found in the Yamna people. The HERC2 variation for blue eyes first appears around 13,000 to 14,000 years ago in Italy and the Caucasus.

Homo sapiens apparently date from about 50 K BC. The last ice age was about 10K BC, which is when technology started to take off. In terms of human history, 8000 years ago is pretty much the beginning.

I do not understand what is your point and I'm sorry, but Homo Sapiens date at least about 300 K BC (fossiles found in Marroco in 2017).
Oldest fossiles found outside the African continent date from about 190 K BC (Israel found in 2002 but dated in 2018).

He's probably remembering his old textbooks. That's what they used to say, that Homo Sapiens showed up around 50,000 years ago and before that it was just Neanderthals wandering around.

For us older types, Pluto is still a planet. Also, Mumbai is actually named Bombay and Myanmar is actually called Burma.

My point is that I disagree that 8000 years is practically yesterday. It was an unnecessary qualifier to your argument but still worth challenging.

Homo Sapiens became quite adept at shaping the environment to their ends, but the development of agriculture had to wait until weather patterns became relatively stable and predictable.

The increasing evidence that we have disrupted that miraculous stability does not bode well for our future.

I find that a little difficult to believe. Sources?

I think it would take longer than 8000 years for a population to develop pale skin.

Interestingly, none of the extreme northern Asiatic populations like the Tungus and Inuit developed pale skin. So it is not an inevitable trait selected for by the environment.

Perhaps all us white people are descended from a single fearsome white-skinned ancestor who was able to procreate with many women and pass that gene on to a whole pile of offspring?

All Us blue eyed people are apparently descended from one ancestor on the Nortern shores of the Black Sea about 8,000 years ago. We're all Scythians like The Kurgan in Highlander..
