Our home has 2 AC units outside.
One for upstairs, one for downstairs. The one for downstairs is shot: condenser and compressor gone. Both units are about 20 years old. They are also both R-22 refrigerant freon units, the freon that will be outlawed by 2020. So all the AC units manufactured in the USA after 2010 are the new more environmentally friendlier R-410 units. I want to change just one unit but that won't work because the new one will be R-410 and the old one will be R-22. Then there is the AC system in the attic which is the blower that circulates the cold air into the different vents throughout the house and it's zoned and that's set up for R-22, not R-410. I gotten estimates from 3 different companies and I done research online and the load and voltage for the blower for R-410 is different than R-22. Therefore both outside units will have to be replaced plus both of them being the same age, the upstairs one may break not long from now if we don't replace it. I also think that since we don't have a choice but to switch to R-410, just like you buy a new IMB PC compatible computer now you are stuck with Windows 10, they stick us with the price. So more unexpected expenditures. Brand new SUV last month plus all 5 my children had their physical, dental and eye exam: 15 visits total and even with insurance, it adds up. |

I have no problem with anyone who agrees with climate change or those disagree with it. My problem is labelling people because they disagree with whatever EG... Climate Change Denier Homophobics etc... That's what I'm getting at. If there is hate involved, that's a different thing altogether, but if anybody has a legitimate view the there is no reason they should be tagged, tagging someone has a negative effect used successfully by the politically correct (even that's a tag of sorts) people, cheap tactic is you want my opinion.

- Hey xyzde, I'm Estreeter, I work as electrician. Be careful not holding both phases in your hands, that's very risky. - I'm not an electrician, but I think you are wrong and don't get any idea.. - I promise, look at my job certificate, I spent all my life making electrical connections. - Oh yeah, thank you. But I don't need to look at your certificate, because I know that's bullshits and you tell me lies. Estreeter meeting Mal Hombre. - Damned... xyzde didn't want to watch my documents and called me liar. Isn't he an asshole? - What. He didn't watch your documents and call you a liar. - Yes. Really. - Yeah, you are correct... xyzde is an asshole. That's what climate change deniers do when speaking about NASA and IPCC scientists working since decades on climate change. In that case, is "asshole" what you call : label ? Last edited by Roubignol; July 13th, 2018 at 01:17 PM.. |

My cousin works as a high school guidance counselor, and the things that she tells me that go on there (and in other high schools) are incredible, unbelievable, could fill a book, and make your head do 360s! Incredibly the parents and students now run/control the schools, and all the rules, the can's/cant's, can do's/can't do's are directed toward and in their favor, and the school/teachers/guidance counselors can't even say boo to students/parents anymore without getting into deep shit! I've already mentioned in another post what happens when the school/teachers try to reprimand a kid/student. Likewise when a student is in danger of failing a subject, being held back, or in danger of not graduating, once again the parents go storming and screaming at the teachers/guidance counselors and blaming them for the kid's poor grades/marks. In addition to the kid's report cards, the school does contact and notify parents when a kid's grades are slumping. But deep in the parent's twisted and distorted minds they don't see it as their fault for not exercising some parental control and making little Jimmy or Mary stick their nose in a book and do some studying and their homework -- but then thanks to today's ridiculous laws they must also even beware of not being accused of traumatizing the child! We can only hope that someday a light will go on in someone's head having a pair of balls between his legs and give student control back to the schools!

No, that's just a personal insult
Grouping people in one basket with an intended negative effect is giving a label.

The guy who labelled me as racist, has two children and several times per year travels by airplane between South America and Europe to make a lot of money, but doesn't know that I shared my home with North African students in the past I suspect to know when a label is correctly given or not. There are people who manipulate words to manipulate people. They don't directly point the problems, because it's not in their interests to point them. I don't get any problem with that, but they could at least to be honest. BTW, yourself you labelled me as... "far left". |

Homophobe We went through the whole gay marriage thing last year. True there are people who hate gays and are afraid of it, There are also those who were just against gay marriage but have no problem with homosexuality but just against marriage for various reasons like religious beliefs, concern for possible children and so on, yet it was OK for the PC crowd to put both those in the Homophobic camp when in reality they shouldn't be. That is what annoys me, it can be damaging to those who it shouldn't.

Well, this is a thread for the seriously annoyed and annoying, but are we reaching the point where we need a time-out?
In the opinion of my 93 year old, lifelong Republican father, "Every day Donald Trump manages to do something even more stupid than he did the day before." Dad also doesn't much like the food at the assisted living facility or having to wear a diaper. I get seriously annoyed by looking at my future. |
