We're long past the point where it's fair to blame Mignolet. Klopp has had ample chance to bring in a top keeper. There were even a couple in the EPL. Pep found one no-one here had ever heard of.

Liverpool's shortcomings remain the same - poor back 5 and no defensive midfielder. But I hear they're interested in another winger, so no worries .

Arsenal and Liverpool look well off the pace and it looks like they and Spurs will be fighting it out for 4th place. The January transfer window might decide it.

What does that mean ? .....

We blame Klopp instead ?

Fair Do's...as I've posted since the start of the season,August, about Liverpool and West Ham...both Klopp and Bilic...IMO.... had answers within their grasp to prevent their falters.

Moyes-Must-Go, actually proved it with the same players that Bilic had.
Klopp didn't, when he had the ooopmh to settle his defence before the window closed.

I wanted to put a contract out on Mingolet last season actually....

If we are still in Duck-Shooting season...we should shoot Ducks... unless you are vegetarian like moi..... then just shoot Mingolet

And, YES...Klopp's blind, egotiscal Achille's Heel.

But Mingolet is not past his sell-by date.... ....for shooting

Merry Christmas Gord...

And

SEASON's BEST WISHES TO EVERYONE

Klopp reminds me so much of Wenger in that description of yours; for years Wenger seemed incapable of signing a decent keeper, both seemingly buy a right assortment of defenders and somehow hopes they might 'do' if they are swapped around enough - and hopefully stumble on a combination which works.

Odd then, that Sean Dyche can find two superb English keepers who didn't break the bank. And a solid back four consisting of players nobody had really talked about. Well done Burnley, for keeping faith with a manager who took the club up, got relegated but they still kept faith with him and are being suitably rewarded. Football needs more clubs with that attitude, and more managers like Dyche; respect to them.

Still there's the boxing day fixtures which I always enjoy in the same way some folk relish the third round of the FA Cup - it used to be a day where nearly everyone 'walked up' to the ground (weraing new gloves, jumpers or car coat) as there was never a bus service, and there were redder than usual faces, the ref was definitely a knock-kneed blind son of a whatnot and there was a definite scent of whisky and brandy in the air. Meantime, being no respecters of tradition, no thanks to sky for altering kick-off times again. I loathe sky; I may have mentioned this before

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!

Yes, or the board. I'm still not sure how much say Klopp has in the final analysis. Liverpool's net spending since Klopp's arrival is just £35m.

But then you'll have Karius in goal . Klopp must still think that Karius will come good but if he can't displace Mignolet after a season and a half you have to wonder.

Just seen Lord Lucan, at least Derby and Orient won.

Bournemouth on Boxing Day, dare we venture out of our own box.

Conceding late goals seem to be the new fad at Man U.

Sheff Weds lose at home to Muddlesbro - BOTH clubs part company with their managers!
'Monk to Swansea' rumours start 0.0001 seconds after his departure is announced.

With the greatest respect, this time last year we were on a streak of 8 successive defeats.

The players rallied around the manager and the owner stuck by him, now we’re having the best season for 10 years.

Clubs need to have more patience, fans too.

Peace.
