What a lousy day for England's athletes, out of the sprints(Gemili injured, Pozzi hit hurdles in the 110m)) out of the hammer(Sophie Hichon was favourite for a medal), no-one close to Dean Macey's once dominance in the Decathlon(indeed the favourite Damien Warner of Canada blew it) and Australia dominated in the pool edging out swimmers out by hundredths of a second in the relay. Other sports were better with medals in weightlifting and road cycling. The reason is obvious, Jamaica, Australia and South Africa amongst the nations have been doing sport for months whereas this Commonwealth Games has come too early for our athletes especially in athletics normally peaking in the summer. Australia were bound to do well in certain sports because of the home advantage, the weather(although it has poured several days) and the time difference.

Well, I guess all the stabbings in the UK are over.
https://www.blazingcatfur.ca/2018/04...#disqus_thread I foresee a blunt object ban.

Zuckerberg Congress hearing
Still in progress.....
Forget the connecting people with people phenomena with Facebook and the other nice stuff. At the end of the day, what strikes me about all this is the sneaky practices he and his cohorts are and have been about their data and being transparent for the sake of profit. |

If you don't pay for the product, then you are the product. Also, there is the whole idea of a "compact privacy policy." FB' privacy policy was there for all to read, if you're a student of 10 000 words of legaleze, and folk accepted it, that's why Zukky ain't in the can. As I said before, at worse, he'll get the Martha Stewart Treatment.

No politicians at Harry and Meghan's wedding? Good idea invite ordinary people with a story to tell who deserve it instead.

Perhaps it will go like this:
Trump makes bi-lateral trade deals with the Visegard 4. The EU tries to block "illegal" trade with EU troops. The Americans respond in kind. Things escalate a bit, and then Russia tries for the Baltic states while everyone's troops are busy elsewhere. The EU tries a draft and arms all the migrants, who promptly go on a jihad all over Europe. The native Europeans finally grow some balls and rebel against their sickened PC leaders... The Chinese see opportunities in India and eastern Russia... What was it that Enoch Powell said again?
