It really might be a DNS problem. you could 0) Try to turn it off and on again 1) check your DNS with nslookup: Open a cmd window and type Code:
nslookup www.imagebam.com If not: check your DNS server settings and maybe try google's public DNS server "8.8.8.8" 2) use curl to get more info about what is going on: curl is a versatile open source command line tool. You can download it here: https://curl.haxx.se/download.html Invoke it like this: Code:
curl -v www.imagebam.com -o imagebam.html or curl -v http://www.imagebam.com/image/b293ad721238223 -o img.html Code:
* Rebuilt URL to: www.imagebam.com/ % Total % Received % Xferd Average Speed Time Time Time Current Dload Upload Total Spent Left Speed 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 --:--:-- --:--:-- --:--:-- 0* Trying 46.166.142.173... * TCP_NODELAY set * Connected to www.imagebam.com (46.166.142.173) port 80 (#0) > GET / HTTP/1.1 > Host: www.imagebam.com > User-Agent: curl/7.55.1 > Accept: */* > < HTTP/1.1 200 OK < Date: Fri, 18 May 2018 18:42:49 GMT < Server: Apache/2.4.6 (CentOS) OpenSSL/1.0.1e-fips PHP/5.4.45 < X-Powered-By: PHP/5.4.45 < Transfer-Encoding: chunked < Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 < { [6988 bytes data] 100 14900 0 14900 0 0 14900 0 --:--:-- --:--:-- --:--:-- 135k * Connection #0 to host www.imagebam.com left intact 3) Do you have IPv6 enabled? If yes and you do not need it try to disable it. |

I'd try the proxy www.anonymouse.org Theres this in depth comprehensive page , all be it at mozilla for firefox covering most connection scenarios including malware https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb...ection-problem How To Troubleshoot Internet Connection Problems by Chris Hoffman on April 4th, 2017 Ultimately, most connection problems you’ll run into are probably someone else’s problem – you can’t necessarily solve them yourself. Often, the only thing you can do is wait for your Internet service provider or a specific website to fix the problem you’re experiencing. (However, restarting a flaky router can solve lots of problems.) source https://www.howtogeek.com/126265/how...tion-problems/ If its still not fixed I try the following Software i've used in the past to remove the unwanted that was interfering with my browsers - i run them periodically just for peace of mind - they are very quick Rkill - temporarily kills malicious processes & checks settings that have been changed Adw cleaner - scans and gives options to remove Junkware removal tool - sets restore point but removes as it scans https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/rkill/ Good luck Last edited by buttsie; May 19th, 2018 at 01:22 AM.. Thanks for the suggestions.
I was a bit late logging-in today, and checked a couple of content threads to see what was happening. Miraculously, imagebam was back to normal; without me taking any further action. |
