The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds (1972)
while the title suggests a Sci-Fi movie, it's not. I almost turned it off after the
first 5 minutes, but I'm glad I kept it going. a complete surprise to me. Joanne Woodward plays an eccentric widower trying her best to raise her 2 daughters. directed by Woodward's husband Paul Newman, and featuring one of their own real-life kids, Nell Potts, as the "good daughter" and the real hero of the film. |

Documenting the Grey Man (2011)
www.imdb.com/title/tt1808076/ An amateur film crew goes to fake a miost haunted style documentary about a ghost on the South Carolina coast whose appearances are said to foretell storms. Pretty lame to be honest, nothing we've not seen before. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_0C9h6eIyU

Roma (1972)
Trailer Roma is Federico Fellini's autobiographical hommage to the city of Rome and its people. There is no plot at all but certainly a story, told in almost surreal images, beginning with Fellini's arrival in the city in the 1930s. The film offers a number of hilariously funny scenes like Fellini's visit to a low-class theater in which the audience insults the poor actors and an ecclesiastical fashion show. |

It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World (1963)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057193/?ref_=nv_sr_1
One of my favorite comedies of all time. Probably one of the biggest ensemble casts ever in any comedy. It's a real who's who of early 60's Hollywood. It's the first place I fell in love with the luscious Edie Adams. She ends up with her dress being basically torn to pieces revealing her gorgeous figure and killer legs.

Just finished watching Deadpool. Laughed my ass off several times during the movie.
Loved this fine piece of dialogue: Quote:

Holy Smoke! (1999)
Australian movie with Kate Winslet and Harvey Keitel. a fairly bizarre movie.
in a nutshell, Winslet plays a young woman who goes on a trip to India and becomes a worshipper of a cultish guru. Keitel is an "exit counselor" hired by her parents to deprogram their daughter. it may sound a little complicated, but the main thing is, Kate Winslet is nude a few times! so, it's worth a look. |
