Marvelous (Yes I used the word , butt am secure in my sexuality ) dark quirky horror comedy about a mentally messed up lad (No relation ) who has urges to kill. Mainly it`s what happens when he gets to know somebody that`s already given into those urges.
We`re talking about a right old whackjob of a human being
Or is he

If nobody has gotten round to seeing this yet I highly recommend they place it on their to peruse list
If I were to see most of the stuff you watch Max, I would eventually end up in a mental hospital for the criminally insane!

In other words , you`re opposed to us being padded room mates

Look ease yourself into the horror genre with this

I've suggested it before I know butt trust me everyone who watches that soon becomes powerfully predisposed to seeing blood and guts flying

Also it`s notable for the first cinematic appearance of a twenty six year old Tom Cruise

Although naturally they had him stand on stilts in his costume so`s to reach the heady Ewok warrior heights of three foot six

I watched Three Billboards outside Ebbing Missouri. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_...bing,_Missouri If I hadn't heard all the great comments about the acting in the film, I would just be feeling like I did not see a complete film. Lots of loose ends, just a feeling of missing the important parts of a story. A movie about people who can't control themselves. I didn't really like it. Wasn't what I was expecting. Too much like real life I guess. The lack of a complete story made me not appreciate the acting in it. 2.5 out of 5.

The short Irish film "Six Shooter" - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_Shooter_(film) was included in the Blu-ray and was mildly interesting. Brendan Gleeson was in it so I watched it. Strange film but what interested me was waiting to see what six shooter they were talking about - turns out to be Webley 455 break open revolvers - like something out of Zulu Dawn.

Neither film had female nudity.

Watched Ironclad (2011) Paul Giamatti in armor on the cover made me buy it. I thought it would be horrible, but it wasn't bad. Giamatti certainly can play a weasel. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ironclad_(film) A tale of what happened after the Magna Carta was signed. 3 of 5 Lots of chopping off of body parts.

The Eagle (2011) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Eagle_(2011_film) Channing Tatum looks too young to be a Roman garrison commander. Wish the story was more like the first half hour of the film rather than the unbelievable last hour. 2.5 of 5

Accident Man (2018) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accident_Man Must have been a straight to video movie release. Wasn't that bad. Ordered it because a friend provided a prop used in the film. A MP38 Very limited view of a female chest. Ray Stevenson was in it and I enjoyed his work. He appears to have gained some weight after his Titus Pullo days.

A Brilliant Young Mind (2014) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X%2BY Not what I expected. A mildly autistic boy who has math skills - Brits call it "Maths" - ? - goes to the International Math Olympiad. The boy from Ender's Game plays the lead and the boy who played a young Alan Turing had a smaller role. No female nudity. An interesting film about how he changes in attitude. From not liking being touched to not kicking out a young girl who crawls into his bed - not what you think. His change in attitude to his mother at the end made me like the film. Kind of like the film 50/50 - any film that shows a son appreciating his mom more will get my vote. 3.5 of 5

Shoot to Kill aka Deadly Pursuit (1988)

Trailer

A man breaks into his own jewelry store and is arrested. The questioning reveals that his wife is held hostage by a man called Steve who demands the diamonds in the jewelry's safe in exchange for the woman's life. FBI agent Warren Stantin (Sidney "I can't be bothered with doing some real acting" Poitier) takes over the case and decides to hand over the diamonds as Steve already killed the jeweler's housekeeper. But he kills the hostage anyway and escapes into the night. Plagued with feelings of guilt, Stantin becomes obsessed with catching the killer who is hiding in the wilderness of the state of Washington. Since he's totally unfamiliar with this dangerous area, Stantin is joined by Jonathan Knox (Tom Berenger) who is only interested in saving his girlfriend Sarah (Kirstie Alley) who may become Steve's next victim.

A predictable adventure thriller with some nice views of Washington's wilderness, ridiculous police decisions and a Sidney Poitier who thinks showing his face in front of a camera is all it takes to be an actor.

Mulholland Falls (1996)

Trailer

In 50s Los Angeles, a four-man squad, led by Lieutenant Maxwell Hoover (Nick Nolte), gets carte blanche to keep organized crime out of L.A. by all means necessary. Hoover and his pals Ellery Coolidge (Chazz Palminteri), Eddie Hall (Michael Madsen) and Arthur Relyea (Chris Penn) prefer to send all recently arrived criminals back to where they came from by throwing them off a cliff on Mulholland Drive, thus the nickname "Mulholland Falls". After a young female's body is found at a construction site, Hoover recognizes her as his former love affair, Allison Pond (Jennifer Connelly). The detectives receive a film showing Allison having sex with a man who is soon to be recognized as General Thomas Timms (John Malkovich), head of the Atomic Energy Commission. Hoover is on the case but his motives are personal as well because there is a film of him and Allison and him being afraid of it becoming known to his wife Katherine (Melanie Griffith).

I could swear this was about hats, suits, hats and chain smoking. But I was wrong as the film description says otherwise. This sleepy little crime-period drama is supposed to be a neo noir involving some of its recognizable traits like rogue cops who bend the law in order to protect society, betrayals, love affairs and conspiracies. But Mulholland Falls looks more like a parody of the 50s despite some solid performances like that of Nick Nolte. Noticable are the James Ellroy vibes. Nolte and the director Lee Tamahori admitted to "stealing" a lot from Ellroy but not without his approval.

I tried to watch The Last Legion (2007) but I fell asleep the three times I tried to watch it. Had a lot of good actors in it, but wasn't able to keep my interest. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Last_Legion Even Aishwarya Rai could not sustain my interest, just did not accept her as a fighter. Saw that it had gotten some pretty bad reviews too, so I guess they are right. I didn't watch the entire film so I can't give it a rating.

Watched Patriots Day (2016) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patriots_Day_(film) - not a bad film of the Boston Marathon bombing. Marky Mark playing a composite character again. I am surprised that the bomber's wife is still alive as the film pretty much shows her as a cold blooded killer (since she obviously supported her husband) who deserves the death penalty but has never been charged. 3 of 5. If poorly financed terrorists can do this, the blood shed by well financed terrorists will, never mind.

Supergirl/Glee actress plays the bomber's wife. Melissa Benoist - must have been good acting cuz I wanted to take a claw hammer to her face. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvhVoNia6v4

I don't call this a feel good movie, no matter how they try to spin it. The police accidentally shooting other police wasn't mentioned in the articles that I remember reading about it. Film depressed me.
