I was in a camgirl's room today and she wanted a suggestion for a song to be played. Someone mentioned Hanson's "MMMBop," which she did not recognize, which was odd. Every 90s kid, which she is as well as myself, should know that song. Anyways, the person who suggested it said that the Hanson brothers are apparently beer makers now. Learning that today, it makes me think that it's a sign of growing up. The person mentioned their beer name and I thought it was a joke. It isn't. MMMHops. What a story Mark.

Presumably it's bland but leaves a nasty aftertaste that lingers for years

It seems that the fall of the Japanese birth rate is due to the fact that arranged marriages have disappeared and that the Japanese society has not found alternatives for several decades.
Some interesting figures: - Only 2% of Japanese children are born out of marriage. - In Japan, women rarely work after getting their first child, this implies more security marriages than marriage of love. Love remains an option. - Men do not approach women on the street. - 40% of 35-40 year olds are virgins. The solution ? Japanese Buddhist monks now organize speed-datings. That's so funny. My vocabulary expanded today, I learned two new words. "Angeleno," which apparently means a Los Angeles native. I read a piece on LA Weekly where they covered a bunch of "Angelenos" and basically described their worth and contribution to the city. The one person I zeroed in on was Alyson Kiperman Sullivan, who was the Yellow Ranger in Power Rangers Wild Force. I'm not on that season yet, but give me 2 weeks tops, I'll make it there. She's up there of course for being a Power Ranger and making good business doing conventions, which I never really looked into. How much money guests pull from autographs, merchandise, whatever. The article mentioned her yellow vest on the show for $1500 on eBay. That segues into a recently learned bit of trivia. Tracy Lynn Cruz, who was the Yellow Ranger on the 2nd half of Turbo and all of In Space, has the original yellow communicator. It's a watch that can communicate with Zordon and teleport the wearer to the command center. I can just imagine that, if auctioned, would go for over 5 grand. That was a prop dating back to the first season of Power Rangers, and it was passed down from Yellow Ranger to Yellow Ranger. Anyways, also, Mrs. Sullivan makes vegan mustard. You can read the article here. http://www.laweekly.com/arts/alyson-...-maker-9482305 Good pictures, she's 41, ah yeah. Other word I learned, feckless. Thank you Samantha Bee. |

Even though I watched the movie before, I didn't put 2 and 2 together when getting to know about two certain actors that were on it and Power Rangers. The movie being Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, I learned today that two former Power Rangers were on it. In the very first scene getting killed, Sasha Craig, Kelsey the Yellow Ranger on Lightspeed Rescue (which I just finished, great season). Also, Brandon Jay McLaren, Jack the Red Ranger on Power Rangers SPD, who played one of the teens, so he's in it much longer than his fellow Ranger alum.
It certainly makes me want to watch the movie again, which I will, at least after SPD, which I'm 5 seasons away from, so probably in July. More on McLaren, I knew it already, he's on the currently running show Ransom. |
