Hooked on Hooks
.
When I used to watch Saturday Night Live, I'll admit... I thought this lady was pretty hot. (In fact, she was pretty and hot.) And so talented, too. I know by now you just never know how these things work on Vintage Erotica Forum, but I am semi-surprised anyway that her thread is so super-short. (I suppose — although this is certainly not a rule — funny girls make it harder to rev up the prurient interests.) For example, I was impressed with her brief performance as "Tina the Alamo girl" in Pee-wee's Big Adventure (1985). I am reading (from her IMDb bio) it was in 1985 that she was rejected by SNL because they thought she was too old, and then hired her the next year at age twenty-nine. Producer Lorne Michaels must have grown especially fond of the lady, as I recall his team constructed an "in memorium" episode consisting of Jan's highlight performances, once she was done it at an early age by a bad case of throat cancer. While composing this recent post for Jane Greer, I discovered there was a Saturday Night Live episode from 1987 that was hosted by Ms. Greer's Out of the Past co-star, Robert Mitchum. After finishing the post, I watched, and was reminded of not only how much Ms. Hooks shined, but also by how attractive she was. The episode featured two TV commercial parodies (I remembered the excellent "Calvin Kleen" one) which accentuated the lady's feminine charms. Very often, in fact, the show would cast her in bits featuring female characters meant to come across as sexy. ................................................ . |
