how do I start a poll?

I'd like to make this a poll in the talk-section:

"There are thousands of Super-8-films that have been produced. But who bought them all?
For me they were far too expensive and I did not own a projector.
Later when Video became popular, I watched films from a videothek and bought about three films for a very reduced price.
But: As expensive as they were when they were popular, people must have bought S-8 films.
How many did YOU buy?

but How? Activating the poll-button does not help.
