No ads, no 'loud and bass busting soundtrack', no bullshit - just the pics

I'd say it was near enough the perfect image host if it wasn't for the fact guys like Futuro and others have problems configuring imagegrabber to suit their systems.

Imagevenue is ok but it takes twice as long to upload images, has a 40 pic limit and has a annoying habit of rearranging photo sets into random orders

I still use both but prefer imagebam tbh
Totally.
Also with Imagebam it is possible to go to the full gallery and grab all the pics from there, very nice.Ad blockers, add ons are the key.

Try Jondo, it has an anti censorship filter.

That problem is fixed on latest version, so it works nice with ImageBam again. So I take my hat off for that, nicely done!

From ImageHostGrabber`s options this ordering problem is very easy to fix, I have downloaded stuff from ImageFap and ImageVenue and always get pictures in right order:

The biggest gripe I have with Imagebam is as a downloader. When you mouse over a link you get a filename. When you download that image it now has a different file name. Then if you download that same image with Imagegrabber it has a different name than the other two!

Default ImageVenue - blank pages for some?

There seems to be something odd going on with ImageVenue. There are a couple of posts where some people are not able to access the full size images while others are. A couple of examples:

http://www.vintage-erotica-forum.com...&postcount=192 Images #10, 12 and 15 all come up as blank pages for me when I click on the thumbnails and none of my download add-ons can get them.

http://www.vintage-erotica-forum.com...&postcount=118 The second image doesn't work for me and some, does for others.

Anyone want to toss out some guesses as to what's going on and what, if anything, we can do about it. (Besides not use ImageVenue. )

Probably has something to do with the ongoing unresolved issues on VEF that DUB has mentioned in the database error thread or imagevenue being fickle

I just looked at all the mentioned pictures enlarged with no problems

I don't think its the result of any bug in the software here. Copy-n-pasting the links to new tabs still generates blank pages. Not to mention if it were the result of a problem with this forum's software then everyone here would be having this problem.

Okay, I just ran some more links thru Image Grabber and had some fail. Manually looking gives me the blank page. Now, IG has a "View Image Request Details" that basically gives the HTML code for the page for ImageVenue. I've saved the results from a successful download and a failed one to text files. Since they're rather long instead of posting the text (and frankly I'm not sure what would happen if I tried) I uploaded the text files to Rapidshare. So, if you feel up to deciphering this, here they are.

Successful download: http://rapidshare.com/files/29099884...nload.txt.html
Failed download: http://rapidshare.com/files/29099893...nload.txt.html

The difference seems to be that the code for the image itself is simply not there in the failed download but I'm not that knowledgeable about HTML.

Is anyone else suffering with this? Is there any point in appealing to people to use imagevenue instead ? or is it just a matter of time before imagevenue gets added to their list also ?
According to the IWF homepage they are a charity whose aim is to remove access to "child sexual abuse content hosted anywhere in the world and criminally obscene and incitement to racial hatred content hosted in the UK" (a noble cause) this they do by producing a list of "potentially illegal content", which they provide to their members.
This basically means any site that does not check each and every upload prior to adding it to their accessible servers stands a good chance of eventually being listed.
Although their aims are laudable this method could eventually blacklist any site that allows public uploads.

My recommendation complain to your ISP then change to a more reasonable provider.

Shame that imagebam gets more intrusive with adds, i understand that they need to keep things going but it could be done in a more tastefull way.

Imagevenue has been the more constant and stable imagehost, i also preffer using it.

Yep.
I never liked IBam and am sticking with IVenue.

The down time for the IBam maintenance is really starting to get annoying.
Not for collecting, but for basic model thread moderation.
