I always go to the pub on a Sunday but my drinking buddy has the barefaced effrontery to be going out with a woman tonight.

I feel bereft.

Had this for a while as I am not really a great whisky drinker. Although I do like the odd one now and again. Anyway I was given this as a "thank you" for work I had done. Decided to taste it tonight.

All I can say about it is "I will not stop at one".

Thats pretty good stuff. Its not as smooth as Glenfiddich but still goes down nice. Sip to start.

Then once 8.37 stuck everything darkened and has remained twilight cloudy and sporadically rainy ever since.

Today's drink is from Belgium: Piraat Belgian Ale. Ale comes in a 11.2 ounce fatty brown bottle. Pours a bright golden color and a thick sticky head which lasts. Alcohol content 10.5%. Every time I drink it I taste different things:sweet malt, candied fruits, spice, honey, pears, even bubblegum and hop bitterness. Outstanding overall.
