For the record, I have extensive knowledge of Christian doctrine and history and a passing acquaintance of the teachings of Islam. I regard the claims to legitimacy of both faiths as extremely dubious, but admire the character of some devout adherents.

What he said was that living with the threat of attacks goes along with living in a big city. So are living with protesters and demonstrations, pan handlers, and traffic jams. I think you guys are picking on him just because he is a Muslim.

Never has and never will happen IMO.
First - editors and writers are human and therefore have bias built into their viewpoints and that will shade any thing they write or allow to be published.
Second - news of any format runs on ads which means money and so they don't want to upset the money cart by publishing something an ad placer might find unpalatable.

It is too be expected this will happen when he makes statements that are only partially promulgated.

This is the entire comment as far as I know. He is not advocating just shrugging off attacks but taking measures ahead of time to prevent or mitigate any attacks.

Since 9/11 there has been 13 terror related attacks in UK alone at least .. .. in usa again at least 16 attacks .. .. many of the usa attacks were carried out by a few wannabe terrorists .. .. states are not giving out drivers licenses unless you can provide you are a usa citizen with proper documents within the next six years .. .. if you have gold star on license you can go in federal buildings and shorter wait line at airport .. ..
