What If You Lived In Chicago ?
It has come to my attention that we needed this thread , if you lived in Chicago would you be more afraid of being shot or being abducted by Aliens ? would the nasty cold weather be a factor in your day to day life or being called the Windy City make you want to move away . or going to the zoo and being attacked by a pack of wild Quokkas be a problem ?
How about not being able to call the Sears Tower The Sears tower , because if you did you would be called being politically incorrect I would be afraid of all the underworld types running around I think or this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKIGOaKVLQE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0Ub40fKSt4 Good Luck and be afraid very afraid if you lived in Chicago ! |

If I lived in Chicago I'd be mourning the fact that the local baseball team hadn't won the World Series in over a year. When will the drought end?

Chicago has mild weather, except for the wind. It's not cold, just uncomfortable from what I read
But it's said they drink much, and breed mafia lords like Al Capone. Is this still true? |

What if I lived in Chicago? Well, I'd start a fast food chain with TM, naming our enterprise Quokka Burger King. We'd probably get sued by the better-known burger sovereign but we know some of Chicago's top lawyers, right TM? Since I would be starting a new life far away from my homeland, I'd really want to start from scratch and change my name to Richard Kimble. |

The good thing about Chicago is that they once had North Pier Mall, August 1992, when I first met a blonde model from Europe... She resembled Edda @Femjoy and had a similar first name, but more clothing on and less bust size, and she didn't say much to me. But it set in motion this unresolved issue, which Edda is related to: losing my blonde European model virginity is still a lifelong ambition, and when I improve my looks and money, I will do it.
On the other hand, Chicago now has a massive gang problem, high murder rate, and the vile Rahm Emanuel replaced the Daleys as mayor. I prefer the rule of "Papa Dick" and "Baby Dick" to Rahmbo. And I haven't been able to travel there since 2007 due to the high cost of living after the Great Recession. Like Incubus, I'll never be the same... And I almost forgot that Playboy is in Chicago! Ummmmmm let's see......
It's gonna be down to 12 F where I am tonight. It's windy. I hate wind and cold with a passion I can get deep dish pizza. I know lots of guys who are in the mob that live near where I live.... I think I'll pass on the trip for now.

Here in Britain we celebrate the change to a new year at midnight on December 31st, we raise a toast to welcome in January as the start of a new year and make lots of resolutions that will be distant memories by January 2nd
I believe that our estranged cousins in New York also celebrate this event in some style but I don't know if this is celebrated in the more isolated Windy City.
