Such things have never been popular in Russia, because they contradict the Russian mentality. In traditional Russian culture, a woman should be a mother, wife, lover, but not a warrior.

Of course, because in that war all the people fought for survival, it was an urgent need. In peacetime, a woman should be a woman: gentle, beautiful and caring. Output beyond that Russians perceive negatively.

The object is not aggression or pinning, but to get another slippery girl naked as quickly as possible. I would think that Russians would value the same smart, sturdy and resourceful women we needed to settle the frontier. It is noteworthy that such women are not shy when in the mood to mate.

I recently wrote that very often the only meaning of a Russian woman's life is her husband and children. For a typical Russian woman of any age, it's scary to be without a men. I have often witnessed women make all kinds of sacrifices for their men, even if those men were scum. For Russian men anal sex is something like the highest form of sexual pleasure. One of the frequent topics of discussion on Russian women's forums on the Internet: my husband/ partner wants anal sex, I do not like it, but I'm ready for it for him. Advise how to prepare for this. I think that's the reason for the search queries.

Gosh, if the men would just loosen up on the homo action and quit bothering the women, the homes would be a lot better. In my experience 2/3 women find anal sex painful; only a third really enjoy it.

I just read a book titled 1941: The Year That Germany Lost the War. It seems to me that we in the West really don't understand or appreciate Stalin. This is an area of the world where Ivan IV, Peter the Great, Catherine the Great, Vladimir Lenin, and Stalin were the most successful and influential rulers since the Mongol invasion. It is really under Stalin that the Soviet Republics modernized their economies, made enormous strides in education, rehabilitated the military, and became one of the world's leaders in scientific research.

Did he make mistakes? Yes, obviously.

Did many people die unnecessarily? Yes, but perhaps fewer than the West likes to believe. All successful leaders of the previous Russian Empire conducted widespread campaigns of terror and oppression. The Communists did not invent Siberian labor camps.

For one thing, I see Stalin as a devoted Communist committed to creating a "dictatorship of the proletariat." He was not simply a paranoid madman hellbent on maintaining himself in power. He was operating under a novel ideology of government and society developed by idealists like Plato, Marx, and Engels. He inherited rule in a country that had only recently expelled invasion forces from many foreign powers in support of aristocratic rebel armies. He had every right to view the capitalist nations with extreme suspicion.

Here in the United States we are a country with a frontier heritage settled initially by English settlers with a tradition of elected government. English kings repeatedly tried to expand their powers, but were thwarted by the nobility and gentry. The pioneering folk found themselves reverting to participatory government founded on consensus. The Native tribes they encountered modeled that ancient form of self government. Our country was fortunate to emerge during the European Enlightenment where philosophies of rule of law and republican government were discussed. The printing press followed by industrialization led to educating commoners throughout Europe. The disasters of the Thirty Years War and the English civil wars created a grudging acceptance of religious toleration. So, our history and development is vastly different from that of throwing off centuries of harsh rule by Asian steppe tribes.

I often read comments by ordinary Russians that "It takes a ruler with a strong hand to govern Russia." My experiences with Russian exchange students have lead me to believe that they come from a very different culture. (The same is true of Chinese, Indians, and Muslims.) I have become convinced that the misguided attempts to impose our institutions on other cultures has proven disastrous in many regions. In fact, our current political struggles have me questioning the limits of our political beliefs.

In any event, I would appreciate some honest feedback from some of our Russian members.
