Yes his career is over, and I read somewhere that he had to mortgage his house to pay for his lawyers.

Apparently some celebs have already severed connections with him including charities he 'supported' and that is the least they can do. It is interesting to note that famous people who commit these crimes seem to follow a pattern of using charity support as an excuse and that makes it right for them. It is been suggested that he now writes a book while in prison that will blow the lid on other celebs or about his 'Terrible Ordeal' but either way he remains a convict.
That is just a sideline to make money and he wants to think himself lucky that he is in an english prison and not an american one where it is so much harder and different than our own. I would expect him to receive some special privileges as well which he should not be entitled to. For financial reasons and it certainly applies in his case, all assets should be seized so items like his house cannot be sold purely for profit. I would expect him to have more than one anyway. No one should be employed in his absence to make money for him for whatever reason while he serves his sentence. But I would say do not be surprised if he serves less than his term because of who he his. I don't agree with it but it might happen. Eventually, he may flee to another country like others have done and preach his own gospel of how twisted the british system is. Everyone say aahh!

The usual suspects who would normally be delighted at the fall of a very rich businessman are strangely quiet. Even the Guardian is saying nice things about him. Is it because he is very pro Labour or does he just have so much dirt on people that they are frightened of what he might reveal.

He will probably be in an Open Prison {because of his age} within 6 months.
And, probably like Lord Archer and Paul-Huhne he will be allowed 'accompanied' external perambulations. In prison, phone cards are like currency, and both the aforementioned allegedly used their 'guardians' phones whilst out and about. I hope the paparazzi have their wits about them |

I doubt if he will be in an open prison so soon. Hes a sex offender and they go to certain prisons.

I don't think he got a fair trial - if it was me I'd appeal!

There is no such thing as a sex-offender prison. They go into mainstream prisons and are "Floor Segregated". They have no 'association' time with the general popluation and even eat and exercise at different times and in different areas if possible. If an old prison then they are kept in their cells 23 hours out of 24. Toward the end of any long term sentence, prisoners are 99% of the time transferred to an Open Prison. For rehab and re-introduction to society. This includes sex-offenders and segregation is still maintained. My point was that because of his age he is likely to be in an Open Prison very early. Jonathon King if you remember, spent nearly 50% of his sentence in an Open prison |
