My opinion would be yes.

The real question, for me, is does John Cage's 4'33" belong?

Hands up i`m a complete Neanderthal in some ways (Yeah as if you hadn`t already guessed ) and although i still have the mindset that Classical music is more for the upper classes , i must admit having clicked on the links so far i have enjoyed them.

Found them quite calming in fact

There are so many great composers of classical music, it's really hard to pick a favourite. I listen to the great Johann Sebastian Bach, Franz Schubert, Ludwig van Beethoven, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Claude Debussy, Béla Bartók, Antonin Dvorak, Frédéric Chopin, Antonio Vivaldi etc. This kind of music will never die unlike the Backstreet Boys.

Oh sorry I didn't know you wanted to see/hear it clipwise so here we go the Lark Ascending by Ralph Vaughan-Williams-let it wash over you like water. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZR2JlDnT2l8

2nd year student, had a brief affair with a blonde cutie studying music (she played the flute apparently) and classics were on at her place 24/7.

I could deal with Tchaikovsky... just but hey I was into Stone Roses and stuff at the time right.

Had my eye on a fine brunette from the Humanities department though - so my whole experience with classical music didn't last that long.
