Someone I know tried to be a model. It never really went anywhere, but she tried. She said that, in addition to having to become accustomed to being in scanty lingerie around total strangers, she had to become accustomed to being totally naked around them as well. Even though she never did total nudes, she did do some topless stuff, she did do what they call "implied" nudity. (That's shots where you are actually nude, nude in front of the photographer and whoever else happens to be there, but your nude parts aren't in the picture, or are covered up by something.) There was one shot she did, and I have seen it on a lot of model mayhem portfolios, it must be really popular with the photographers, where the she lays naked, spread legged, with the photographer taking the pic from the feet upward, with the camera aimed to where the pussy is just outside of the frame of the shot. But if you think about it, she had to lay there naked, in front of a guy she had met maybe an hour before, with her legs spread, and him looking straight up her pussy...now you know why that shot is so popular with photographers. Take it from having to get used to doing that, and knowing that everyone can, potentially, see your pics, including her dad, who did, and it's only a series of what are small steps to doing female/female photo sessions, female/male photo sessions, implied sex photo sessions, to doing actual porn. They become slowly inured to it to the point that, before they know it, they're sucking some guys dick on camera, and thinking nothing of it. |

Well, fortunately or unfortunately, due to genetics, my spawn would never be in a porno film unless as a joke.

I suppose, for those of us that have daughters, their nude pics and vids could already be out there.
With mobile phones, one has to ask how many naked pics have they posed for at the request of their boyfriends that have then been shared! How many blowjob videos could be out there starring our girls? Lots of us have done this with our wives and most certainly would have done it in our youth with our girlfriends if the technology had been there ! Amateur pics/vids on the web or professional porn pictures and vids...... when “out there” what’s the difference? |

I feel that as time goes on and porn becomes more and more common the stigma in the stain of it is going to be lesson as a Generations go on our grandkids will probably not look at this situation nearly as severe as we do now.

Two of my daughter's friends from high school are exotic dancers, beginning at nineteen. Daughter has watched them perform, hung out with them on breaks, helped one out when she had a problem with her manager, and learned quite a bit about the adult entertainment trade. As we drive through town she can point out clubs that treat their girls well and clubs that don't. One club burned to the ground and daughter commented "Good, that was a crappy place to work."
Now, at least as far as I know, my daughter has never performed. But if she did, I guess I'd have to say that's her business. I know her friends in the business, and it hasn't hurt them so far. |

I always did my scenes through my own production company and mostly solo clips so it wasn't such a shock to my mom. Part of the stigma about porn is the horror stories about the assholes behind the scenes that treat women like slaves and get them hooked on drugs creating a reliance but there are some real pig women out there that have no moral compass either and they don't help make it any easier to accept. Someone mentioned youth being more accepting as each generation grows, that may well be true in Europe but in the US and Canada they still have a stick up their asses toward porn but don't realize that nude selfies are porn too... Btw I rescue "models" from shit contracts and through my company they are treated with respect and decide what they will and won't do. As well as great pay I have a healthcare plan for all employees. It's easy for me to say because I have no children but if I did I would make sure they knew what they were getting into if they wanted to go that route. |

Pretty Fascinating...
dear contributors,
i read everyone's replies here! (it's a fascinating question: thanks to original thread starter). It's about listening.. (those who've worked in adult industry are the one's with insights)... the rest of us are consumers... (but i dont judge consumers, either, porn is highly addictive) firstly, my heart goes out to all those dads (that might find their daughters involved in some aspect of adult entertainment- you're not alone) Recently, i read an article (by chance) that Steve Spielberg's daughter is in the biz... so, you're not alone gentlemen! it's a complex world - not everyone has a father ... some may not even have mothers. my ex-wife dabbled (i advised her against topshelf - her father was an incredibly strict man... even if she changed her name, she may have faced real hardship, if her family had discovered her "secret". she did a few private shoots for me- and a few pro shoots (that didnt lead anywhere)... however, some (and its only a handful) of performers are highly successful in the biz... these tend to be good actors (or performers that have an athletic streak)... it's just a job...and as a few contributors have suggested, if you're running a good production house , looking after your people... it's better than working with amateurs who dont know what they are doing: safety first.. every time... turn the heating on here's my questions for you guys: 1. do you ever listen (or read) interviews by real porn stars? 2. do you know how much porn biz is worth? 3. why is suicide rate (among porn actors) both men and women higher than in other professions? thanks for reading, regards NB Last edited by nbwriter; January 16th, 2021 at 03:05 PM.. I can't be a hypocrite.
I recently found out that whilst in university my daughter would travel to another city (some way from her campus) on Thurs/Fri/Sat evenings to work in a lap dancing bar. She did it for financial reasons initially but informed me she enjoyed the attention too. It was a tough conversation when she told me but having frequented many clubs myself in past and enjoyed viewing 'the daughters of other dads' I can't as I say be a hypocrite. |
