I guess things have changed since my friend lived there and told me.
He lived there in the late 80's-late 90's then came back.
Always said I should go because of the ratio, and he was married and observed.
I think Australian women are hot so I always wanted to go.

I also really enjoy excellent psychotic and insane Australian film over the years.
Some are:

Walkabout
Mad Max
Romper Stomper
Wolf Creek

.... I saw a bunch more but I can't remember their names.

Both were precursors to Mad Max.

Since Estreeter mentioned Calder Park in the American thread. By coincidence, I found out some information about it today. Did you know, the previous Labor state govt, to this one, offered a $70mil package to redo the whole venue, for circuit racing, drags, the oval, everything? Bob Jane rejected it because he'd have to co-operate with CAMS and ANDRA (drag racing body), but mainly CAMS.

The money was specifically set aside for it. Because it was rejected, it was then offered to North Melbourne, to build a new ground at Bendigo, Ballarat, or wherever it was.

What a dickhead!
