women with tattoo or not?

Not to mention the hatred against tattoed women I've read on some posts.

I dislike tattoos on men as well. Don't get me wrong I love rock chicks, like suicidegirls, but when I've had sex with a few but unfortunately it's never been that good. My issue is it's more individual not to have a tattoo. I hate baby names, neck and face tattoos and tatts on the tits of women. Most tattoos are badly done and not artistic. I've seen loads of winnie the pooh, or similar on grown women. Seriously?

I think that covers my position on tattoos exactly. As a rule I'm not a fan, but on some women I really don't mind them so much, although it does depend very much on what and where they are.
For me a perfect example is Page 3 and Suicide Girls model Mellisa Clarke...



...I'm a big fan of Mel- there's something about her I find irresistibly sexy. When I saw my first pic of her, I definitely found Mel's tattoos off-putting, but the more I see of her (and I've been a fairly regular poster in her VEF thread) the less they bother me.

To be honest, I actually quite like the pin-up girl on her thigh- OK, I'd probably still prefer her without it, but for some reason it kind of fits with her 'look' as a model and the way her personality comes over in the interviews I've seen.

On the other hand, I'm not wild about the Hello Kitty cartoon or whatever it is she's got on the back of one leg, and definitely don't like the roses, anchor and butterflies on her feet which really do look like something more at home on some hairy-arsed sailor than a cute glamour model...

Having said that, if by some miracle Mel was to ever find herself in my bed, none of them would put me off for a second...

I think a small tattoo on a woman is ok, it tells you something more about her, I really like Jenna Jameson`s Heart Breaker tattoo it just told you something about her.

Last week's Academy Awards show featured Lady Gaga performing a medley of hits from The Sound of Music. She did a wonderful job as she was all decked out in evening gown and a classic hair style-- none of the garish style that she normally adorns to seek attention. She finishes her performing and while taking her bows for a job well received, she raises her arms thus exposing her arm tattoos to all the world. That spoiled what had been a bravo performance. She looked foolish, which was an unfortunate way to present herself.

Looks like I'm in a minority here. I do like tattoos on women, as long as they're of a good artistic quality. Not the 'Mam and Dad' type. I can't stand Tramp Stamps either and any that are on the lower legs and neck/face.
I'm 58 and my 44 year old partner and I, both have a few. Mine are my Clan crest and Pagan symbols, while hers are all Pagan.
It does seem a subject, that the vast majority here are against and I respect that. But please remember that not everyone with a tattoo is a wastrel or thug. I'm ex Forces and Police, while she is a Casualty Sister.

I was surprised that given she was going for such a dramatic shift in her media persona that she didn't make an effort to wear something that would have covered her arms. The tattoos didn't really fit the whole concept of her being a 21st century version of Julie Andrews.

I would say generally not - not out of a principled objection, but simply as they don't appeal. But then there's Julie Kennedy, a goreous women with stunning ink, which only serves to demonstrate that there are no absolutes, at least not for me.
