When four people were stabbed to death in London on New Years Eve, I told my Dad that it was 99% certain that at least two of them would have African surnames. I never did see the names released. But one of yesterdays victims has been named. African surname. What a depressing country we live in where kids have to treat each other the way we pictured areas of New York to be in the 70's. London is fast turning into the shithole of the world.

That is exactly why Brexit is culturally meaningless, although economically beneficial.

He said “the people of Budapest will decide” whether or not they want their city to end up like the capitals of “immigrant countries” in Western Europe, such as Berlin, London, and Paris, on April 8th, when his Fidesz party takes on the opposition in national elections."

In Hungary, the politicians are actually on the Hungarians side, and until that situation exists in the UK, no amount of window-dressing will change things.

Instead, folk who say "Britain for the British!" are lambasted as racists, arrested and otherwise harassed by the sickened political establishment there.

That Empire brought civil rights, an end to slavery, and industrialization to more people than any other agency ever to grace the surface of the Earth.

Now look at what the planet is saddled with:
1. An re-forming Russian Empire.
2. An emerging Chines Empire.
3. A sickened, navel gazing, PC western banking Empire.
4. A re-forming Caliphate.

We are going into a very brightly lit dark age, I'm afraid.

I am reminded of a quote from that movie "Heavy Metal", where a lawyer advised his client "The best we can hope for is a secret burial, so that they don't desecrate your grave."

This week, I noticed that the world ended in 1918, when the British Empire, the Russian Empire, the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Ottoman Empire all suffered their death-blows
No-one noticed because industrialization was busy improving standards of living, but the jet had flamed out, as it were, this gave rise to such obscenities as fascism and communism, leading into WW2, and then the development of nukes froze the PTBs into relative inaction for a few generations.

100 years later, a new set of planetary powers are playing the great game, and none of them have such things as Magna Carta or the Castle doctrine.

Hungary has in its history never been good advised, to fall into an -right wing- or any other extreme.
It was a big country once, in the Poland was an Hungarian territory (with marriage), East Siebenbürgen (now Romania) , in the West Kroatia , Slovenia and Bosnia and Parts of the region around Trieste (now Italy) and shortly Venice.

First time -around 1529 - the country has been conquered by the Turks (Suleyman I) and lost the whole country and King Ludwig II. of Behemia and Hungary drowned. The cause were the peasant uprising happened just before, a mobilisation wasn't possible at this time. This persists over 145 years.
And as no direct hair of the crown was found, the crown was robbed by Austria.

After WWI they lost half of their country again (not Hungarian fault).
Next time in before WWII (Admiral Horty) was again a National-Socialistic country and we all know happened than.

After the fall of the "Iron Curtain" the country was quite liberal and free. But than the Hungarians voted for this idiot Victor Orban and the country felt again in the right wing strategies, the cooptation of the press and the justice like in Poland with all the consequences.

I said several times now, the two countries are having no place in the EU any more.

There are other sporting events which don't include Europe or some other countries like the Pan-Pacific Games. Most of the world wasn't part of the British Empire as was but others like South Africa, Jamaica etc left our 'jurisdiction' striking out on their own but still remained part of the Commonwealth of Natuons. It is interesting to see how many countries remained as British dependencies and they bear the Union Flag on their country flag - and yes I know Hawaii is the only US state to have our flag on its flag, but they don't count. These are called the Friendly Games whereas the Olympics (Winter and Summer) is tougher with more competitors from more countries and slightly more formal. At Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games it was closed with a set by Kylie Minogue and Aussie athlete Genevieve Lacaze got a little carried away and jumped onto the stage to dance. She was removed by security very quickly, but all the athletes had broken ranks to dance. The danger is that not many countries can afford to stage such an event but in four years time it will be back on English soil in Birmingham 2022.

One thing I did notice today...it actually looks like Spring has finally arrived but after Friday it is back to four days of rain and cloud.
