Eve Babitz
Anyone heard of free-spirited Eve, who supposedly has dated many stars of Hollywood back in the day and has had a book written about her life?
She's also famous for playing a chess match in an art gallery with a famous chess master completely nude (of which I discovered her elsewhere). I was wondering if there are more pix of her elsewhere; found these on a couple of sites while I was searching for someone else. |

Here's post 1 of 2. She's playing chess with Marcel Duchamp, who is better known as an artist. This photo is the one most often reproduced.

One of my favorite writers. First to make a convincing case for LA as a cultural capital. Knew everyone, did everything and wrote about it all with wit and honesty. And sexy as fuck, to boot. RIP, lady.
