I had one of those best to worst experiences with a pizza place a few years ago

It used to be fantastic, the bases were thin and crisp. toppings always fresh and tasty

Then the original owners sold up and under new management the quality went right down

The onion on the pizza was like chewing rubber bands, they had somehow managed to burn and undercook the base at the same time and the 'ham' ? had no flavour

Needless to say within a couple of months the shop had gone

Yesterday afternoon I tried a Panda Express for the first time. One of the items I tried was a Chicken Eggroll and after I took one bite out of it, I noticed these Clear Tiny Tube like things. So I decided to pull the Eggroll apart to find out there lots of them in there. I haven't a clue what they were or what purpose they serve, but I thought they looked weird and they grossed me out.

It didn't look like something someone would want to eat. If I don't know what they were, then I'm not eating it. Everything else I tried like the Broccoli, Chaw Mein, Fried Rice, Honey Walnut Shrimp and Orange Chicken were alright though. A good Chinese Buffet establishment is still better than the Express.

Namcot over at the PS Forum replied to me and says they're a Chinese Noodle called Cellophane Noodles, aka, Glass Noodles.

Here's a photo of them,

The ones in the Eggroll were cut about an Inch long and while I do admit they looked odd, I'm kind of intrigued to try and make some in the future for a Grilled Chicken or Shrimp and Veggie Stir Fry, now that I know what they are.
