i like feet, so it's nice to see a lot of scenes are catering to that nowadays. a lot of vintage stars had incredibly pretty feet, but good quality scenes where they're barefoot are tough to find.

Availability.
With older stars and movies a lot of their work is often on VHS so you now get woeful transfers to digital, if they are available at all. It's hard to watch a movie if the colours are all off and everything is bright orange/red.

Cross-cutting.
This used to drive me soft - you have two different scenes so they splice them together, you get a few minutes of one then a few minutes of another. The worst case scenario was that you'd have a model you liked and her scene would be cross-cut with one you didn't want to see ever, so you're just getting into it and then Wham ! Bifter on the screen. This seems to have become a lot less prevalent, and also with digital editing tools I can eliminate the women I'd rather not see.

Fetishes
I have a few things that I find very erotic, I'm guessing that many of you do too, the broadening of the market means that these niches are a lot more available. No. Nothing at all.

Video (even HD) is harsh, flat and sterile. Old celluloid with film lighting was warmer and more erotic.

Old porn women looked their best - made up and coiffed - Today they look like they were dragged out of their trailers. Way too many tats, piercings, and bad boob jobs today.

Sure the old vintage setups and acting were cheesy but that's what made them good. The gonzo pre-coitus interviews today are lame, patronizing, sexist, and make the women seem really dumb. The fucking today is generally without any sensuality or sensitivity. Pretty joyless all in all. Sometimes about as titillating as watching animals mating on wildlife documentary. Generally, only vintage porn is worth watching!

I saw an interview on YT with a Ukrainian sailor who reckoned that he and his peers could go out with a different girl in Kiev every month and he was being modest! As for the OP's question - there is quite a lot of good stuff to be found in modern porn if you look for it. Some of the Eastern European girls are dazzlingly hot, and more than willing too. The only downside for me is that the guys they get to fuck look like gulag victims.
