Your personal experiences aside, I really don't recall him dropping off all that much (or Carson either, for that matter). Maybe it's because the bar was set so high, that anything else made them look like mere mortals...

While I appreciate the Lawrence Taylor insider info , I was referencing Ladanian Tomlinson - and how he has obviously lost a step, cannot do what he used to do, still wants to play and was let go by San Diego and is now - PLAYING IN YOUR STADIUM

Lord Have Mercy Grossnex! Your LT is soliciting underage working girls, allegedly, not playing football anymore. But I do like the story. That sounds pretty frightening. He was a hell of a player but sadly seems to be a pretty confused dude.

LT release in my book was fair. Cold hearted yes but that is the NFL. He gets to play for a pretty good team in the Jets and gets to keep playing for at least one more year. The Chargers gave Sproles a big contract and felt LT's time had come. Time will tell if they made the right decision.
