Just on a point of order - if Britain leaves the European Union without a deal there will be a lot to talk about and a lot of negotiating required urgently. The EU would not really want to live for long with a hard Irsih border and only stupid people in the UK would think this was unimportant. There are various interested parties on both sides whose business would be adversely affected by tariffs and/or problems with goods in transit. The motor manufacturers are only one example among many. The no-deal Brexit would be the worst available outcome for European fishermen and might lead to a revocation of all their post 1973 fishing rights in British waters.
In the event of a no-deal Brexit there would at a minimum be a need to control the events following and avoid disruption as far as possible. What is not clear to me at the moment is whether either side would see things this way.

UK will take part in European elections
The UK will have to hold European elections, despite hopes from the government a Brexit deal would be done by then, says the PM's de facto deputy.
The vote is due on 23 May, but Theresa May said the UK would not have to take part if MPs agreed a Brexit plan first. Now, David Lidington says "regrettably" it is "not going to be possible to finish that process" before the date the UK legally has to take part. If we leave the EU with no desl we will have full employment. Every fucking one of us would be drafted into the civil service to do the paperwork for the millions of new deals that have to be made.

Actually, I thought we were going to be a deal-free zone and shunned by the whole world community, left to take in washing and sell our bottoms in public toilets...
I wish people would make their minds up.

I wish Britain would have chosen otherwise, but I am sure the Brit public had their reasons.
I reckon Europe as well as Britain will both be a lot weaker after the deal is settled.

It wouldn't be good for anyone. Apparently, almost no one in Britain eats fish caught in British waters. So if the British caught the fish themselves, but couldn't sell them fresh in the EU, the price downgrade is obvious

There would be a lot more cod in the North Sea if the Danish fishermen were prohibited from taking sand eels. In 2017, the EU raised the Danish quota from 82,000 tonnes to 458,000 tonnes, nearly all of which comes from British waters. I would make sand eels a protected species and set everyone's quota at nil, with drastic penalties for anyone caught fishing for them - by "drastic" I mean stuff like imprisonment for the captain and crew, and destroying the ship used. When the sand eel population recovers, so will the cod population; and there will be cod in EU waters as well as British waters. Until then, they who would like fresh fish will need to trade with those who have fresh fish, or do without. Likewise they who have fresh fish for sale will need to seek out and negotiate with people who who have money and would like to buy fresh fish. Trade is not going to stop.
