The point is that Ashwin quite deliberately stopped in his delivery stride (at which time Buttler is within his rights to move forward) and waited for Buttler to leave his ground before running him out. An absolute cunt's trick of the lowest order by Ashwin.

It's not very nice but it is in the rules.
I've "timed" a batsman out and run one out after I hit him in the bollocks with the ball first, and followed through on my delivery, swooped and whipped the bails off before the umpire could call a dead ball. I was a right win at all costs twat when I was young

I attended a few hours of the Sheffield Shield final this afternoon. The game is held at the Junction Oval in the suburbs of St Kilda. It's of weird to be there because the ground is beside the Albert Park F1 track. The runoff at T13 is the boundary of the ground. A couple of weeks ago I was there to watch a day of the GP,and now you can see it mostly deconstructed.

Literarily?
Sorry, but the way many have tried to pseudo-intellectualise the building trade without any real knowledge of the fancy words they pretend to adopt rather cracks me up. ... and many other people say "literally" when it's clear they mean figuratively. |

The past 2 shield games, one in Adelaide and now the final are being played at suburban grounds rather than the Adelaide Oval and the MCG.
The AFL take over all the grounds that are famous and named as cricket grounds far too soon. The boards of each ground need to grow a spine and say no, not until the shield season is done. |
