I don't think you are being scammed, I have premium and it works fine for me, I did notice though that you get logged out automatically after a certain period of time, so when you click a 1fichier download link it will act like you're a free user. You could check if you are logged in to your account before downloading, or do a speed check as download speeds are different for every location or provider, that's all I can think of right now. If this doesnt work I'd contact their customer support.

You Have entered your premium account into IDM, right ? & checked it's showing as working. I had the same problem with JDownloader #2 until I realized JD had not recognized my 1fichier as premium.

What Shadezzz says above is correct. You must login to your account, which is usually with your email address & password. After that, everything should be fine

Remember also, that if you don't use the service for a while, your cookie may expire. If that happens, just login again

I get 3 mb/s when I download from torrents.
However when I use 1fichier premium it gets 400-450 kb/s and 500-550 kb/s on IDM. I think its all about french servers that we cannot do anything about it.

Thanks everyone.

In the end I contacted customer service at 1fichier who assured me that I had a premium account. That didn't change my download speed!

I followed all your advice but to no avail.

After exploring all the different options i randomly tick the box "Force the downloads without SSL" and IDM worked a treat with full download speed.

Not sure what SSL is but grateful to have full download speed.

I don't think it's the server as I have no problems whatsoever. 500kb/s is the standard free download speed, so read solutions in posts above: make sure you're signed in (the cookies expire within days) and turn off SSL. If that doesn't speed things up I'd suggest to try download without whatever download manager it is that you are using.

Yep. Turning off SSL fixed that issue. Thank you!

This has to do with 1Fichier, but I am uncertain if it is permitted to even mention premium download generators here on V-E-F.
I use a premium downloader file generator to harvest content from 1Fichier.
There is a daily limit (10 GB), but this is something I can manage.
Where I am encountering a snag is when the specific file is larger than 2 GB in size.
My downloading program returns a server error message. Even if nothing else is running. This is noticable in threads for Josephine Mutzenbacher and Corruption (1983). I have been unable to submit these files to the downloading program.
I understand the logic behind mandating that portions of files should be no less than 500 MB, but perhaps there should be an upper limit?
Has anybody else been able to download these two files using a downloader?

I downloaded the Mutzenbacher movie with Jdownloader2 without any problems, but I do have a premium account with 1fichier.
