I know. Weird subject.

The reason I'm raising it here is that I made an observation the other day in the thread dedicated to Brigitte Aime (it was basically that IAFD often demonstrates a funny tendency to post unflattering photos of the performers, and speculating on the possibility that she may have had a nose job), and I think it was deleted. So rather than pursue this line of inquiry where it's apparently not welcome, I'll open the conversation here.

I've just "discovered" her, having always thought she was French rather than French-Canadian. But in downloading a bunch of her clips, I seemed to find inconsistency: That in some her labia are generous and dark, and in others much less so. Further, in some of the former she has a piercing (ring) on the right side - that's not listed in IAFD. So my reading is that she had her labia "trimmed", and in the process lost the piercing hole.

Personally, I think this an insane thing to do, but some of the insecurity that apparently fuels it is discussed in a UK doc from 2008 called "The Perfect Vagina" (it's on youtube). I couldn't be in greater agreement than with one of the men interviewed, whose response, basically, was "I never met one I didn't like". But I also know nothing about the pressures within the porn biz that drive women to "enhancement" e.g. Mme. Aime also having a thoroughly inappropriate boob job in mid-career.

So I'm just kinda tossing this out for open conversation. I don't think it's that far removed from the matter of pubic shaving (which the performer in question, interestingly, didn't engage in)... except for the whole permanence thing.

I love meaty labia, to lick, suck and play with in general. My wife has delicious labia that unfold to reveal her vagina as she gets aroused. Like all plastic surgery it comes from this ideal of having the “Perfect Body” based of what some people say it should be, and like a so many things in life it is the people who know the least about something that have been heard the most.

As women and men grow their body’s change and penises and vaginas develop differently but some people decide that one is the way that all the others should look, and the others are some how wrong. This leads to a lot of dysmorphia in both men and women which to me is stupid, but I do have the hindsight of being insecure of how I looked when I was younger, are my breast going to be big enough that kind of thing, looking at the other girls comparing myself with them. It was not until I got to Uni it was at a house party for a group I belonged to that a bunch of us were sat around talking after a party about body image and the pressure we felt as girls to look a certain way and finding out that a lot of guys felt that to as I had never really thought about it, you know what they felt in terms of image and light bulb went off in my head that was that we may be attracted to an image but we actually love people who are wildly different and unique.

I stopped worrying from then on as I can’t be someone else, I can only be me and if that was not good enough then so be it.

There is one worrying thing that I have seen, is the imbecilic idea that you can look at a women vagina and tell if she has been used and that some how devalues them as a person, you see this kind if think in certain groups of men and unfortunately women as well.

You cant tell by looking if she has been with 1 man or the house hold cavalry, and it does not matter either way.

Thanks - I really appreciate hearing the female perspective on this. You've raised a lot of points that are also (obviously) at the center of the documentary I mentioned in the first post, which I do recommend. It's all too easy to dismiss those body dysmorphia issues as trivial and stupid when - whether or not those views are valid - the problem is nonetheless quite real for both women and men, though much more so for the former. And "social media" has only exacerbated these problems, with instagram in particular ratcheting up beyond all reason the pressures (among the vulnerable) to live a perfect life in a perfect body.
