In the light of the current IIHF World Championship, let's start a thread dedicated to ice hockey.

I hope we can keep this thread alive after the championship for those who watch the NHL, KHL and other leagues.

I don't care much about the IIHF but how about the Stanley Cup playoffs? As a native of Washington DC, I am thrilled that the Capitals have already defeated the Islanders and won the first game against the Rangers. Who are you picking to win the Cup?

I`m from a place where hockey is almost a religion....and the world championships are great, but the Stanley Cup is the true ultimate prize.

I concur... it's time to get excited about next year's world cup.
