I think it's applicable to suggest we all R-E-S-P-E-C-T the death of the queen of soul.

Devastating news about Miss Aretha.
2016 nearly broke us all, but this is like a sting in the tail. The - absolutely THE - greatest female soul singer there ever was, has been or ever will be. As somebody once said, she simply couldn't hit a bum note. Amazing. Irreplaceable. True. God bless you, AF. Strangely, I devote this song by George Jackson about her rather than by her because I feel it reflects what her music meant to those who heard it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjhmwzf_mh0 Ultimately, we all knew what she did. R.I.P. and God bless you. x |

R.I.P. Aretha
I echo what Nightjar and johnbear said (and others, including the spookyness pointed out by rlg118), but from me thank you for (as the name of another thread states) "One Of Those Voices" God Bless

Unsho Ishizuka, a prolific Japanese voice actor, passed away from esophageal cancer at age 67. Ignore the mentions of 68, he was born in 1951.
https://kotaku.com/the-japanese-voic...ied-1828408810 I prefer certain Twitter accounts like this one that informed of his passing, I just shared the Kotaku link to show a news site of sorts reporting on it. Plus that screenshot I took showed some iconic characters. The only one I knew about was Old Joseph Joestar, who was the most entertaining character on JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders. Shamefully I didn't pick up on the similar voices of Professor Oak, the narrator of Pokemon, and Mr. Satan of Dragon Ball (he was the VA for that character after the original one, Daisuke Gori passed away in 2010). At one point last year I was watching Stardust Crusaders, Dragon Ball Super, and Pokemon. So for the last few years, he had a more notable impact on my anime consumption than I originally thought. So, this particular passing hits me more than others as of late (RIP Aretha Franklin nevertheless). I have to catch up on Pokemon, I'm 4 or so episodes behind, so sooner or later I'll hear his voice again. Back to the Dragon Ball talk, earlier this year the voice actress for Bulma in Japan passed away, so, curse? God I hope not. May Ishizuka rest in peace. |

Turns out Jill has been suffering from mental illness for so long that it became impossible to handle and she took her own life. When she was OK she was so full of life, but mental disorder is a bitch and anything can happen, anytime. Here's a cool interview she did a couple years ago, she was so self-aware, so adorable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2XXC3Bw8QQ
