Once I bought 2 pints of milk from M&S but had failed to spot the "added omega 3" label on the bottle. Then I had a drink and... yikes! Added omega-3 my foot - they had poured a bucket of fish oil into the milk.

I hate milk. Reminds me of primary school when you got it free. Summer days and rancid milk.

I remember those little 1/3 pint bottles and the straw; I'm pretty sure ours never went off. It's a long time ago, so my memories are not precise, but ours must have been correctly refridgerated; or else maybe we drank it during morning break before the day got hot enough for long enough to spoil it.

Ours was green top straight from a nearby farm. It was bottled in the barn straight out of the cow. The milk we drank either had been milked that morning or had been milked the previous evening; never older than that. Nothing was done to it at all. Try sourcing unpasteurised milk straight from the farm now.

Soy milk tastes like lime-scale; pretty unpleasant stuff. I'd much rather take my tea or coffee black. But the worst is UHT (ultra-heat-treated or "longlife) skimmed milk. UHT full fat milk is actually quite palatable. But I can only tolerate semi-skimmed milk if it is fresh and fully skimmed milk I cannot abide at all. As for fully skimmed UHT milk, it's piss from marble statues.

I'd have to agree there, though I do like raw fish. For me it's the way the Japs do omelettes. I don't mind ketchup being sprayed all over it, but why in God's name do they put sugar in it!? Same when they do scrambled eggs...sweet, sugary, and yuck.

On the subject of weird Japanese food I once after a surf trip to Kamakura headed south to a town that I cannot remember the name, but which is famous for its spider crabs. There stores sell these huge buggers freshly caught where you could pick one (and they ain't cheap, even the smaller ones), they'd cook it and serve it on the premises. One of the nicest memories I have from Japan is of squeezing that tasty crab meat out of the giant legs like it's a popsicle, but sadly it was spoiled by them serving up the top body carapace with a broth made, I presume, from the remaining innards which I can only describe as looking like someone with severe diarrhoea had shat in a big empty crab shell.

Ours sat in crates in the hall. It was put in the fridge, but I hated the smell. I only take milk in tea.

Ours was like sh*te , fresh or sour, I hated it, and refused to drink it - no matter what!

Didn't eat school dinners either. I got food poisoning twice, and that was enough for me......

BTW. I have a very strong constitution, now,.... but those schools dinners were OTT!

School dinners that's a can of worms! I hated them in primary and secondary school. I remember the smell still. I ended up taking a packed lunch.

Tofu.

Seriously, an ex-GF during the course of good-faith efforts to improve my diet once served me something and told me to try it before she'd tell me what it was. I tried it, immediately had a "BLEH!" reaction and told her it tasted like congealed fat. She then told me it was tofu, so I had correctly identified it. She was a bit exasperated with me but never tried to serve it to me again.
