Or of course... pranksters

My friends and myself "back in the mid 1980's" put as many hands on this thing as we could and were not able to get it to move.
If you look at the pic in the link you can see the unpolished area on which the orb is supposed to rest.
The unpolished area is how you can track the movement of the orb.
I'm not saying that this is the explanation, but I saw a program on mysterious rocks - boulders - sitting on a perfectly flat desert floor that moved about all by themselves. You could tell because you could see their tracks. But they were far too heavy to be moved by the wind. Finally, someone set up some cameras and discovered that a thin film of melting ice was forming an almost frictionless surface under the rocks so that even a tiny puff of wind could get these rocks careering all over the place.

The movement of this stone in Marion could be a hoax, but maybe it's just some strange interaction of mass, ice and sun.

I don't believe in ghosts, or any of the other creepy crawly monsters that are shown on the t.v.or in movies. As far as I know there have been no real professional documentation of supernatural occurrences anywhere. And any that are sometimes exploited in those expose newspapers are elaborate fakes.

I'm not a total sceptic when it comes to ghosts and spirits. I wonder about the cases where the same apparition has been seen by many people at once (and is the same apparition that has been seen by others before) such as a monk or someone in 19th century clothing complete with top hat for example.
You also have reports of ghosts from people that are completely rational, respectable and even hold positions of authority. I remember I used to work with someone who told me he'd seen a ghost and this guy was absolutely not the kind of person who would ever tell stories, joke around or make things up and was always quite serious about everything. Coming from him, his 'account' was quite convincing to say the least.
On a different note. I don't necessarily believe that ghosts are 'remnants' of the dead in the way that a spirit is or that ghosts are concious of themselves as spirits are. I think it's quite possible that ghosts are a kind of echo or recording that is somehow trapped in the fabric of certain buildings or places and is released under certain conditions.

I did a sort of Understanding Quantum Physics For Dummies course a couple of years ago. The mysteries of the supernatural are child's play in comparison.
