Iapolgise momentarily stepping into this conversation but I'm pleased you finally drew a distinction between Conservative (note capital C as in the name of a party) and Republican. I am a Republican and never let an opportunity pass when I might enlighten those of you who throw the RINO moniker around that it is those or your ilk who are the outsiders, not those of us who have remained progressive or "Rockerfeller" Republicans. Remember the Republicans who were at odds with the Dixiecrats over segregation, advocated fo the beginning of the EPA, OSHA and tried, but failed to help the economy through controlling wages and prices (how socialistic!!)?

I don't support Haley if for only her inconsistent positions. I do support Christie. At this time he is the sole Republican candidate I would vote for over Biden in the general election.

You've got to know it's pretty bad when former President G.W, Bush openly won't even support the bozo's rallying around Mr. Orangeface.

never thought I'd say it but I miss Bush the younger. that's how far the one facing 91 felonies has dragged the old gop down. hopefully it can be rebuilt by the brave likes of Cheney and Kinzinger who history will remember far more favorably than mccarthy, mcconnell and others.

Depends on who writes the history books though.

true SanteeFats. the old saying winners write those books may still hold true.

in order for the USA to remain a democracy, even in its current inefficient faulty state, it is imperative that the one facing 91 felonies is NOT elected as president.

read his plan 47, his agenda for what he will do if he wins. it includes invoking the Insurrection Act on DAY ONE to quell any ( and all ) protests. even if there aren't any protests, he has outlines as part of his plan to send the military into crime ridden ( meaning, cities with Democratic mayors and states with Democratic governors.) what are they going to do ? start rounding up people on sight ? yup ! part of his massive deportation plan for illegal ( all ) immigrants.

I close my eyes and I see scenes from the movie Schindler's List when the Jewish ghetto was liquidated and they were sent to Auschwitz. make no mistake, short of gas chambers, that's what the mar a lago resident is planning.

HIS words HIS plan not mine.

despicable, as are ALL those who support him.

Okay guys it is time to stop posting about D.T. here. There are two threads where IMO these posts are more appropriate.

Andrew Johnson and Woodrow Wilson are the two worst presidents, and by wide margins over any of the contenders for third worst.

The error many have made in this thread is to assume the mistakes of modern presidents will have consequences in the decades ahead. That simply can't be known. What we do know is that we still live in a world where the impact of these two terrible presidencies are keenly felt.

By the way, the contenders for third worst? IMO...in chronological order...Jackson, Pierce, Buchanan, Hoover, and L. Johnson.

A case can be made that any of the 21st Century presidencies could have disastrous future consequences, but, again, that's a question that can't be answered for many years to come. For example, Watergate used to put Nixon on the bottom of many such lists, but those days now seem quaint.

Ouch!

You just reminded me that back in 2016, I picked Richard Milhous Nixon

And you're right - that choice does seem quaint nowadays....

johnson notorious for NOT being accomodating to the defeated confederacy as President Lincoln wanted.

Wilson, a virulent racist who thought the early film The Birth of a Nation was worth watching and told history correctly.

there is STILL one worse and with respect to Santee Fats...I will not mention its name.
