Huh, MrInBetween, I was just in the middle of the writing process (had to find some valid PimpAndHost example here on VEF in order to point to) while you were already answering your question OK, if that's how we are going to play this game, fine with me! Yes, creating the "album" (as PAH named it) requires to open an account. You can't really "pimp it" unless you're a member.
I just thought it was a nice feature of the pics hosting site.

for people who collect galleries frequently it's a useless feature cause those people use image downloaders like downthemall/anticontainer or other tools.

pimp and host is for beginners or for people who simply don't know it better.

Sorry Numerous One, I didn't mean to send you on a wild goose chase. I came across that post by accident (oo-er missus!) afterwards - most of the PimpAndHost stuff I've encountered up to now has been single images.

I have a suggestion which may, under some circumstances, be helpful to Firefox users who are struggling to load certain pages. It concerns one of the best Firefox extensions, Toolbar Buttons: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...oolbar-buttons. Sadly it hasn't been kept up to date by the developer, which means installing it requires editing the RDF file, using the Disable Add-on Compatibility Checks add-on, or whatever you usually do to make an add-on that hasn't had its version number updated work. It also mean that some of the buttons it creates - accessible from the Customise Toolbars box - don't operate properly any more.

One that still does is called Toggle Images. Rather than being a simple toggle, it cycles through three states: normal loading of a page; suppression of images; and some kind of halfway state, which leaves images that are on buttons or something - I don't know, I never bother with it.

It's quite handy for making VEF look innocuous when the wife comes in and you're reading the discussion forum, by hiding all the filthy-looking avatars. And of course pages load faster without any images at all.

So one, or many, image-heavy pages could be skipped through with the images turned off, and then the View Single Post option used, with the images back on again, to view individual posts of interest in their own tabs.

I don't suffer - touch wood - from the problems this thread sets out to solve, so I can't claim to have tried this out myself. Anyway, hope the idea proves useful to somebody.

No need to apologize. I was just joking.
Had it not been the pure pleasure I was after, I would've never browsed VEF pages so methodically, meticulously and strategically planned several times a day (time and environment allowing).
