Exactly what the previous poster says, websites don't have access to any other folder or anything else on your computer. And they won't install anything (nasty or not) if you click the "browse" button.
Many sites you visit every day are dangerous even if you don't notice. Why? Because most of them have got ads that belong to 3rd party sites, those ads usually have got scripts that could sneak into your computer and you won't even notice it. Most of the times this does not happen, as you've probably got a firewall or antivirus or any other kind of software like that. Still do not rely on any security software even if you're paying for it; they won't protect you against yourself.
In a few words: basic knowledge is the best tool; don't do what you shouldn't do, and you'll be fine.
